We visited The White Hart on our way to Bury St Edmunds with our three grandchildren for lunch on a Saturday. We sat in the courtyard as it was a nice day and the surroundings were very pleasant. There was a good choice on the menu and they were happy to do smaller portions in baskets for the children. The food was delicious, cooked to order and came out nice and hot and fresh. We all really enjoyed our food and the landlord was really friendly, and it was obvious he really cared about the place and enjoyed what he was doing. A lovely traditional English pub which are rare these days. Well worthy of 5 stars and we will definitely be returning.

The White Hart is a great place for a pint or a glass of wine. The owners are incredibly friendly and you feel at home in this pub! It has great sayings on the wall that will make you laugh. Cozy and comfortable! The perfect pub!

Lovely atmosphere - we stopped off here for a break on our way back to London from the coast. Very warm and welcoming to us strangers. We didn't eat so can't comment on the food.

Great local pub to grab a bite. Met the bartender Paul who was a lot of fun to chat with. People were very friendly and the food was really really good. The salads are massive with pretty much any toppings you can think of. Staff were very friendly and always checking up to see if we needed anything. Loads of laughs. Def recommend this pub for a visit and we plan to return.

I moved into the village 2 months ago and have received nothing but a 'harty' welcome! Paul, Rebecca and the team are always so friendly and laid back. The clientele are just as friendly and are happy for you to join in the banter or let you sit and do your own thing.I finally managed to try the food last night, too! The pizza was gorgeous; I highly recommend it.

If you would like a Sunday lunch thats cooked on the premises and sourced locally then look no further. The food is superb and there is plenty of meat and veg. It appears to be fully booked every week so definately book well in advance, you won't be sorry.

Absolutely delicious Sunday roast today. Beautifully home cooked, tender pork, and so many vegetables including the largest cauliflower cheese I’ve seen. The staff were so helpful, kind and couldn’t do enough for us. Can’t wait to go back.

Well the reviews that I read lived up to there name after having a midweek meal here.Much smaller than I imagined, just a bar with a back room for sit down meals, the menu was quite basic with normal pub type grub but wow !! The food was absolutely first class, all the veg was super fresh, the portion sizes were big enough to give the dog a good feed when we got back which he lapped up and it didn't touch the sides lol .The staff were very friendly and chatty and service was very quick. We had a starter and main with drinks and it came to £50Iv paid much more for much much less far too many times so would defo recommend, just need to book as I think these guys get busy .

By far the best Sunday Roast around. Cabbage buttered appropriately, Swede peppered well, roasties crisp, pork tender!

Absolutely delicious steak and ale pie. The crust was perfect; the meat was tender and very flavorful. Friendly atmosphere and welcoming to visitors from America. If I lived in the area, I'd be a frequent patron.
