Review is purely on the English style breakfast. Coffee is good. The English style breakfast is a huge let down. Sausages aren't great on flavour and are tiny in size. Bacon was very undercooked and fatty. No choice for brown bread, only white sourdough, which isn't exactly the best type of bread. The beans are the ultimate let down. They appear to be homemade. However they simply taste like strait tomato puree. The potatoes, although numerous, are covered in a very sweet syrup which some may enjoy. Mushroom was good. Option for bone marrow also (I didn't try this). Food was slow to arrive (20 minute wait). For around £14 its poor value for money and I couldn't eat half of the meal due to poor overall flavour.

What a fab place, staff were super smiley and pleased to be there. Food was exquisite, and the coffee from Butterworths was amazing.Would definitely go there again.

We are regulars at the cafe/restaurant as we love the food and the staff are always lovely! For our wedding we had our reception at Wrights and it was such a great decision! The guests and ourselves thought Wrights blew it out the water with the incredible food, decor, organisation and how lovely the staff were. I had full trust in Maddie and the team and the evening was perfect.I would highly recommend Wrights as a cafe in the day, their evening meals and also for a wedding or other event! They can do it all :D

Such a great addition to the food places in Bury St Edmunds. A lovely place to rest up and have a coffee with some lunch. Fantastic service and no rush to get tables moving which is great. We will certainly be back!

My order was sold out. My Fiancé enjoyed his cooked breakfast. My 'Red Velvet Latte' was very sugary.

We stopped for lunch here today and didn't enjoy it much at all, the service was very slow and when the food did come out eventually, I'm afraid my breakfast was overcooked and not very nice at all the tomato/bean thing in the bowl in the middle just tasted of Heinz tomato sauce the fried egg was overcooked couldn't even cut the bottom of it, the potatoes had a rock a hard outside and no potato in the middle. The pot of tea I had at the beginning was also not very nice and ran out about ten minutes before I got my food so we just had to sit there for ages and wait they couldn't even say it was because they were really busy as when we got in there it was not that bad, nothing much nice to say about this place and to finish the young man who I think bought clean cups out of the kitchen looked absolutely filthy. Definitely won't be going back.

Had lunch with friends. I was optimistic as there was a queue (about a 20 min wait) so it seemed very popular. After being seated it was a long time (too long actually) before our order was taken.I can only comment on the food I had, which was the cheese and french onion toastie, a cappuccino and to finish lemon drizzle cake.Once again the food took a long time to arrive and we had to chase up the drinks. The toastie was drowning in french onion which to some may be fantastic, but it was overwhelming and rather than compliment the cheese i ended up removing at least half of it to be able to enjoy it properly. The cappuccino was average at best and not overly hot when it arrived. Finally the cake, sadly it had no flavour in the actual cake, and relied on a drizzle to give it flavour. So over my experience was such that I will not return (the only action that you can take when dissatisfied) It may have been a one off problem, and I dont usually like to post negative reviews, however the actual cost of the meal was high and did not live up to the price charged so unfortunately I have to give a thumbs down on this occasion.

The breakfast was exceptional, not visually fancy but extremely tasty. Crispy bacon and well cooked sausages were just perfect. They also took my unusual allergy to raw herbs very seriously which is just brilliant, thank you. And they allow dogs :)

Stopped for a couple of drinks, I had a pint and my wife had a hot chocolate. We shared a cake, which was delicious. I would like to come back and try the burgers on a Saturday night. A great café with very attentive staff.
