Waited about an hour for chips and curry sauce, no apology given it’s just the expectation it seems. Kids like the chips (expensive at £3.50 medium) but not with an hours wait

A good choice for a take-away in Framlingham. Very popular place. There were a few people ahead of us. Our fish and chips were cooked for us; very hot and fresh.

Fantastic service, friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. There was good attention to getting the order right and what salt and pepper each person wanted. I felt safe in the shop with masks, hand hygiene and distancing being encouraged. We had cod which was extremely fresh and the batter was crisp and tasty. The chips were a good mix, some thick, some crispy. Most of all it was fantastic value for money with great portion sizes.

Worse than the greasy Cod & Chips purchased, was the surly and very unfriendly 2 guys running the place. This was my first visit having moved to Framlingham recently and will most likely be my last. I understand that the shop has recently changed ownership so most of the glowing reviews on here relate to an earlier date.

As always I enjoyed my meal tonight, the burgers are awesome! and the staff are really friendly. Everything was cooked well and tasted great! I love that it comes with a little takeaway carboard box sealed with tape rather than paper. I will definitely be coming back!

In the past, this used to be a fantastic chip shop, before different staff and owners took over at the start of 2020. All of their food was delicious. Everything was cooked well, tasted amazing. The chips were some of the best I had tasted for years, nice and crispy and always cooked to perfection. The fish was also very tasty. Crispy, flavourful batter on everything that was battered (fish, sausages etc). Lovely spring rolls. Tasty pies, great burgers cooked just right. Now that the takeaway has changed hands and staff, the food is not great at all. For one, they have decided to stop wrapping the food in paper, and have now chosen to cram the food into a rectangular cardboard box that is taped shut. Let's start with the chips. As stated before, the chips used to be amazing. Nice and crispy, cooked properly and were always very "Moreish". Now, the chips are soggy and absolutely saturated in grease. Someone needs to teach their staff how to drain the cooking oil from the chips, before now cramming them into a cardboard box and sealing the lid with sticky tape, as the chips now leave your hands covered in grease. They also aren't cooked very well, often needing to either be left in longer, or taken out of the fryer a lot earlier than they should be. Taking the chips out of the box and putting them onto the plate is now a chore in itself, as your hands get absolutely soaked in grease, leaving the box very soggy and wet with cooking oil. For some reason the spring rolls now look and taste like they have been cooked at least twice, very brown and also very soggy. The battered sausages are also soggy when it comes to the batter, not crispy like they used to be, and the sausage itself is very bland and leaves a not very nice aftertaste, which leads me to believe they have been left under the heatlamp for far too long. Now, I used to love a good chicken and mushroom pie from Rumbles, but now after tasting one a few weeks back, never again. Again very soggy when it comes to the pastry, and again feels like it's been sat under the heat lamp for far too long. One of my favourite things from Rumbles used to be their chicken wrap. Always crammed full with tasty, brilliantly cooked flavourful soft chicken, bursting at the seams with chicken and lettuce. Now after what I was given tonight, that was not the case at all. The chicken wrap had three small pieces of chicken, and the lettuce that was there wasn't very nice at all. The wrap itself was very flat and left a lot to be desired, feeling almost empty. Since the previous owners and staff left, the chicken has become dry and not very tasty at all. Not nice to bite into hard chicken. Also I quickly need to mention that the prices have gone up higher than they used to be, which isn't exactly very good value for money. Safe to say, I have now given up on the place. I won't be returning until I hear that standards have been raised and the food has gone back to the great tasting food that it was before. Please come back Inci! The place isn't the same without you!!!

Visited Rumbles today (08.05.20) and couldn’t ask for anything more. Lovely, fresh cod covered in crispy batter and mountains of delicious, chunky chips. Decent value and excellent service from this family-run chippy. Cannot recommend highly enough, and it’s also Ed Sheeran’s favourite chippy - so it’s also got that going for it. 5/5

Rumbles served us a very generous medium portion of Cod & Chips. We paid for it though £16.80 for 2 cod & chips and a can of pop. The most we have ever paid. The food looked tasty though and as I have said, the portions were large. We were sadly disappointed when we began to eat though. Our fingers were soon shiny with grease and the batter was too greasy to eat. The food tasted ok but we couldn’t eat it because the grease just made us feel nauseous. Really expensive and disappointing.

Battered sausage was limp and lukewarm and the chips could do with a bit longer in the fryer. They keep too many things in the warmer for too long and they go soggy. Would be much better if they cooked thing fresh.

Not only is the food excellent, it is great value and cooked just right. Well sized portions. And all the staff are friendly and will have a chat if not too busy. And it is the place where Ed Sheeran gets his fish and chips when in Framingham.

I have heard so many wonderful things about Rumbles, but never visited. Last night after a long and arduous day, I spent the evening with my youngest child at the local high school's open evening. By the time we got out, it was late and I couldn't face starting to cook a meal at 9.30 at night. We popped into Rumbles and although they were about to close, they sold us what they had (delicious mixture of fish, fishcakes and sausages) and put on a fresh batch of chips. I then realised that they only take cash. I would happily have walked down the road to get cash out, but the lovely lady in charge simply told me to drop the money in when I was in Fram on Friday. She was delightful. They all were. They restored my faith in human nature. And the food was delicious! I'll be back.
