Went in for a snack Ok then went to buy a watch in the shop . A woman came in with her dog and crowding me out talked the manager (didnt know this at time j the manager let her dog out of cage and now both were crowding me out discussing and fussing dogs The woman then says I’m going to look at jewellery I commented perhaps I should c one with you . She told me they are friendly in Halesworth I said we are in Yorkshire . She then said WE DONT LIKE TOURISTS COMING HERE ESPECIALLY FROM YORKSHIRE .extremely rudely and loudly . I then asked to speak to manager who turned out to be the other woman . She totally condoned this customer saying we are inclusive . I have never in my life felt so insulted that the manager did nothing giving the go ahead for her staff to also condone such behaviour . I hope this goes viral as I left the place in tears and was totally staggered that in this day and age customers and management are allowed to be so DISCRIMATORY in public to TOURISTS especially from YORKSHIRE . My partner walked out of the shop as soon as the woman and manager crowded me out suspecting their bias to dogs rather than CUSTOMERS I

I often go there once a week, the staff are wonderful, friendly, and very helpful, I take my dog with me and the staff make such a fuss of her, lovely place for coffee, cake, salad and more,

Sorry, not that great. Happy to keep independent places like this going but need to refine things a little better

The wafting smell of joss sticks should have been enough. This place has not weathered the years well. It’s basically a vast shed full to the brim with stuff, that has a room and courtyard with tables and calls itself a cafe. It is neither focussed nor organic though. The food is average to mediocre. Bought in so not fresh flavours. Not organic. The service is lacklustre to downright indifferent. The prices are a joke given it’s all served on paper take out plates and cups with wooden cutlery. Decidedly inorganic and wasteful. To add insult to injury, they expect you to clear up your table too. No customer loos in spite of having almost 30 seats. Not sure that’s even legal. Meanwhile the shop is just a clutter of stuff, from high end deli to hippy tat to overpriced nicnaks, greetings and cosmetics. And yet I didn’t feel inspired to buy a single thing. Possibly a latent concern it would all reek of those joss sticks.

This is a lovely shop. Great coffee and cakes. Good selection for flexitarians with wide range of both meat, vegetarian and vegan snacks and cakes.

All kinds of food, plus other useful things for the kitchen. Can be relied on to have pretty much whatever you want. The coffee is good too.

A bit of a shame that this lovely cafe has gone down hill, visited to be greeted with quite rude staff, ordered a cup of tea for nearly £3 to be served in a paper cup and then when asked to use the loo was told rudely that they don’t have one even for paying customers to use! The shop is still beautiful and I would definitely return to browse but cafe and staff members attitude needs a rethink! Their is also a large bold letter on the door which tells customers that no under 18’s are allowed in without an adult due to theft which I kind of understand but you can’t discriminate against all under 18’s!!
