Absolutely fantastic food, the Korean chicken thighs were a highlight. Really friendly welcome and plenty of games for entertainment! Would highly highly recommend!

Beautifully quaint English pub. Excellent food quality, the fish was battered to perfection!

Always a pleasure,The menu changes sometimes, but the food is always tasty (and veggies cooked to perfection) and there are always some traditional dishes.

Beautifully presented, really tasty food.We went on a Sunday to find it was all booked up but the really friendly staff squeezed us in and we were so pleased they did.Lovely open fire and cosy welcoming atmosphere too.We both had the Beef roast dinner which looked and tasted amazing..! So much so that we can't wait to go back again. The attention to detail and unusual twist of crispy kale & parsnips and beautifully cooked beef with tasty veg and crispy toasties & puds was devine. One of the best roast dinners we've ever eaten. I only wish the pub was near us but unfortunately over 2hrs away.I highly recommend this lovely pub for its creatively presented, quality homecooked food and when visiting the area it will be top of our list to eat.Suggest you may need to book a table as it gets very busy.Well done team we love it!

Just had the most beautiful and probably the best Christmas Roast we've ever had. My hubby and i popped in today (Thursday) and although a quiet weekday, the owners were most hospitable. When this pub is in full flow the atmosphere must be even more lovely. Cosy pub with an open fire. Loved it and will be returning on our next day out. Thank you ?

Amazing vegetarian food! Always a good sign when you have to wait a bit for your food to arrive. It was freshly made and very tasty. Highly

Got into town at about 7.45pm on a Wednesday night, its cold and raining, there aint no punter in the venue. I say to the barman, bro you guys still cooking, he goes out the back and checks, the the Chef says yes. The next 45 mins were literally exceptional. 4yo daughters pumped with her Cheese Pizza, I grab the house burger, which was exceptional. Home made chips wow.The best choice in the area, and a great quality pub feed that would hold its own anywhere in the world.Go here 100%.

Food was very poor, to be generous, with my friends fish being soggy and greasy, chips grey and soggy, with one being green, which I'm pretty sure means it should never have left the kitchen. Chairs uncomfortable and could not pull table closer to us as legs unstable. All in all we will never go again.

I had the chicken rice bowl, which needed rubbery chicken skin removed, but it was then just mediocre. My friend unfortunately chose the fish and chips... well if you like grey, soggy chips and fish with greasy, soggy skin, then this is the place for you. And one of the chips was green which I'm pretty sure means that we should not eat it, and certainly the chef should not have served it. The table has broken legs so couldn't be moved to fit us properly, and the place was cold. Why not light the fire to improve atmosphere? Never ever again.

We were dissappointed with our Sunday lunch, the vegatables were under cooked and partly burnt and my beef had little taste. We shared a dessert, chocolte brownie and ice cream. To be fair the ice cream was very good but the brownie was small and too dry. I asked for a black Americano, it arrived in a mug on the table, no tray, no sugar, like an offering from a greasy Joes. I like dogs but not for them to be wondering around the food area looking for profered offerings. No doubt some will like this set up but sorry guys not for us.

Having passed this pub every time we come back from Southwold and promising to check it out, we finally did today. We didn't regret it either. Lovely old pub, friendly welcome and a massive bowl of chips. We will definitely be going back there again and will visit with friends in the near future. Thank you ? Claire and

A really delicious and slightly different Sunday lunch. All the usual things and beautiful beef, with the addition of some crispy veg on top. Lovely staff

Took my wife there yesterday for lunch, we both had fish and chips and coffee. The coffee tasted horrible and I did not drink mine, the fish and chips were were eatable but nothing exciting. The inside of the pub looks very run down with tatty kids toys on the bar, and a worn out mat by the door just waiting for someone to trip on it. This used to be a very nice pub, but now I will give it a miss.
