Had a lovely meal with family. Delicious local pork and a vegetarian option that didn’t disappoint. Desserts were great too Buttermilk panna cotta with rhubarb !!!! Attentive smiley staff and great atmosphere. We will be back - it’s a wonderful old pub and on a summer evening the views across the marshes are spectacular. Thank you Staff and Chef ..

This quaint little hotel offers individual rooms off-site behind the main restaurant/bar.My room was quite comfortable and the bed was very comfy. The restaurant serves great food, and breakfast was spot on! Well done! The only issue I had was that the boiler went out the night of my stay, so the radiators stopped working, and it became a bit chilly in the room. They immediately called a plumber out to fix it around 0800. My schedule did not allow me to wait for the water to come up to temp, soooooo... this also led to me taking the coldest shower of my life.Despite this, the staff was extremely graceful and even knocked 15% off my bill for my troubles.Pictures of room #2

A nice country pub/restaurant. Very quiet for a weekend. The food was ok. There was a limited choice of meals.

Stopped here for coffee on the walk from Halesworth to Southwold. It's about half way. Good service, a popular spot, friendly staff and nice coffee.

One chip at a time..... that's the portion size...one chip called a potato rosti "apparently".and when I complained to the manager (who couldn't have cared less) said "I've served 3 of thouse today and nobody else has said anything".So I asked for some more for my partner and myself,a considerable time later ONE MORE CHIP appeared to which my partner and I cracked up laughing and said"really one chip between two of us".....the manager then said "it's potato that has been grated and then made into the shape of a chip called a rosti,"as if that made any difference at all to the size of the portion!!!!so we asked for more which didn't turn up untill we had already finished eating. Yet again one lone chip on a plate of its own.£21.00 for a fatty pork chop two inches of half a roast carrot two inches of a roast leek three small dots of something green on the plate and a teaspoon of apple sauce split in to two blobs (to try to fill the empty plate). I could have eaten three plates and still been hungry.as if that wasn't bad enough on the first night. The second night we had a lovely day at Southwold and returned back to the room about 7ish had a shower and a brush-up and thought we might have some food and a couple of drinks in the pub,so we left the room walked round to the pub at about 8.30 to find the whole place in darkness.all 4 rooms with 8 people in and nowhere to get any food or drink!!! What is the point in booking a room at a pub(in the middle of nowhere)if the pub isn't open for half your stay.too far to walk anywhere else for a drink and no other food within walking distance.Again when I asked the manager in the morning why the pub was shut with eight people staying in the four rooms at the back of the pub,he said not worth opening,it wouldn't pay for the electric....!!!So obviously the customers don't matter!!!!!!! Don't bother staying if it includes a sunday.very over priced food and a rude manager.the rest of the staff were very friendly, shame about the manager.Adnams. sort it out........!!

Went for lunch as a table of 15 and we were all really impressed with the food. Top marks for the miso aubergine, crispy potatoes, fish n chips, mussels and puddings! Great service too. Highly recommend.

Excellent Inn in a great location. We were visiting RSPB Minsmere which is 16 minutes drive from the pub. Blythe estuary is directly behind the pub which is outstanding for birdwatching. Rooms were quiet and comfortable. Food and real ale are outstanding. Service - excellent. Staff are helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely be back.

Stopped for lunch between Christmas and New year. Food was nice but expensive. We ordered one fish finger sandwich which came out as fish and chips so went back. Staff did refund us the difference but the wait for one person wasn't a nice experience watching the rest of us eat.Dog barking inside was a shame and none of the staff seemed fully trained to use the tills or serve tables

My wife and I stayed for one night in December. We had a warm welcome at 8pm. Our room was clean, warm and had a very comfortable bed. Ample tea and coffee was provided. It was good to wake up and see the river view from our room. Breakfast was excellent, had a varied menu and was served quickly. Very pleased.

We stayed for 1 night and will definitely be back. The accommodation was spotless and comfortable. The breakfast and dinner was amazing and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was very Christmas's with beautiful decor and roaring real fire. We didn't want to leave ?

Enjoy a lovely walk along the Blyth and the pop into the White Hart for a light lunch and you won't be disappointed. Lovely homely pub, friendly staff. We shared a brie sandwich and crunchie potatoes, which were so tasty, will definitely be having those again ?. They also allow well behaved ?.Nearby activities: Lots of lovely walks with plenty of wildlife to see too.
