I don't visit this branch of ASDA in Ipswich often (it's probably a few years ago since the last time), but being in the area and passing by, my wife suggested we get some chicken that our daughter asked us to get for her. This was not a pleasurable experience at all.\\n\\nWhilst my wife went in search of the meat, I took the opportunity to visit the toilet. It was disgusting. I used a cubicle, the WC was full of toilet paper and yellow water. There was a sea of urine on the floor which stank. I tried to flush the toilet which permitted a dribble of water into the pan. In all seriousness, this is a health hazard.\\n\\nEverything was grubby, and the press down taps give you just enough water to soap your hands and then shuts off the water as you place hands underneath them! I couldn't get out of there quick enough. I would have taken some photos but it was too gross for publication.\\n\\nI found my wife who had just purchased some chicken breasts, walking away from the checkout she noticed a hole in the plastic packaging. We went to the customer service desk who asked us to get another. While my wife went off to get another (note: no staff to help with this), I realised the customer service area also looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since my last visit a few years ago.\\n\\nAs we left the store my wife commented that she wouldn’t go back in there as everything looked tired and grubby.\\n\\nThe final joke was the car park. I had forgotten how ridiculous the layout of it is.\\n\\nWe won’t be going there again - ever.

Awful service!! 4 stops away and I receive a phone call stating that my delivery is not coming. A man called Gary telephoned with a rude and aggressive attitude which was loud and intimidating. Would definitely NOT recommend.

Standing in a massive queue, only 2 checkouts open! Ridiculous for a Sunday morning. No organisation, no management on the shop floor - will stick with Tesco in future!(Only gave one star to be able to post this review)

The place is not what should be. I saw an infamous case at the self checkout, a costumer in fifties asked for assistance, as he had wine (to be approved), an extremely arrogant woman came, member of staff, and refused a go ahead with the items, worse still, she didn't permit other member of staff to help. Was a very decent costumer, he asked for an official complaint, but without any reason the security man asked him to go out. The costumer was smashed, reduced, humiliated. Very bad.

There is no Costumers Service at that branch. Ladies at self checkout, normally are talking together and disregard the costumers. I saw a costumer call for assistance, he had something to be approved, the lady with a microphone came, threated him, afterwards left him alone, didn't permit other member of staff to help, the costumer asked for an official complaint, the poor security man came and put the costumer out of the building without his shopping!! Unbelievable, was a very decent costumer, in his fifties, and was ready to pay his shopping. The man was humiliated and reduced to a bad thing. Very bad place.

I first visited this branch of Asda during the run-up to Christmas in 1991 when I lived in Ipswich as a very young man. If I was typing my review then I would have unhesitatingly given a 5⭐ review.Unfortunately, and I think it is asocietal sign of the times we live in, the store is now a shadow of its former self. Regarding customer service some staff are either clueless or just not bothering to know the products that they do or do not sell, and then there is a lack of items on shelves on a regular basis. As a result the shopping experience is at best ok on occasion but frequently disappointing which is a shame.

Absolutely shocked at the service I received on the 10/11/22. Rudely greeted and laughed at. Doing something nice for my little boy and was discussed by the way he was spoken to. He was upset and shaken with then shouting! Asda need to rethink who should work for them as a lady with red hair was very rude and didn’t look like she wanted to be there. I hope Asda act on this.

Had a nice meal at the cafe. Felt sorry for the poor man serving who was by himself. I think Friday lunchtime wasn't the time for him to be left to serve in his own.

I was exiting and saw these kids ask a question why they were getting told off then a women with red hair was screaming at these poor children saying rude things and swearing. Not happy will never go again and telling all my friends to never shop there again

I don't like this store. The car park is absolutely nuts and the shelves are never filled. Whatever time of the day you go, the shelves are a sea of empty boxes and trays. I couldn't get something as basic as tomato puree this afternoon. I do like the pharmacy staff and the ladies on self scan are lovely.

While waiting at the checkout today, for a technical problem to be rectified; on paying I forgot to use my Asda Awards code. No worries I thought, I’ll take the receipt to the Customer Service counter, (cued for 10 minutes!) I was informed by a staff member that the Awards barcode must be used BEFORE payment is made! There is no way of using them retrospectively, even a few minutes after paying!!All of the other major supermarkets allow for this!Come on Asda! Get your tech people to tweak the software, that’s all it would take!

Didnt realise the bakery closes at 8pm to do the cake printing but an amazing kind staff memeber Sarah was just leaving and went back to print it for us. The priny also wasn't beinh easy and messing up for her. Thank you so much for making my birthday ?

Nice big store, but the staff could be a bit more helpful and low morale shows when you need help as they're almost disinterested
