Disappointed with the food. We came for a family meal and all found the food overcooked. I had a chicken burger and it was fried so much that the chicken was really dry and hard to chew. We used to really enjoy the Farmhouse for a family treat, but this has put us off. Even my 3 year old didn't eat his chicken nuggets as they were too tough and he always loves chicken nuggets. Also thought the self service for knives and forks was a bit of a backward step, when you are paying for table service. Will we return? Sadly I think we could get a better experience elsewhere for our money. Service was fairly quick, we didn't feel like we waited too long, just that the food wasn't worth waiting for unfortunately. Hope above feedback helps to improve things kitchen side as we like the atmosphere and convenience of being able to order from the table.

Big queue at the bar so ordered on the app. Took over 25 minutes to get our drinks. Food arrived was warm not hot.

Busy selecting a table from the plenty available, when the waitress asks if we've booked. No? Oh, sorry, we're not accepting walk-ins. (No explanation.) Then, as we're, leaving, another waitress asks the same and says the same, but (when I point out the number of free tables) at least explains that it's due to staff illness. Why wasn't there a notice on the door to say so? Surely they've got paper and pens there! It would've been less awkward all round of they'd done so.

This was our first visit since 3rd October 2020 and what a difference this place has certainly improved from Staff and the quality of food at a reasonable price. Well done will certainly be back now so place keep the standard up. Lily was our waitress and was very friendly and helpful. Date of our visit 4th October 2023

Great spot for Drinks with the girls! lots of cocktail options, bring back the 2 for £7 ones though please! We order on the app and sit outside always brought to us quickly. Great service from bar staff.

Quick stop we hadn’t booked, able to find a table fairly easily. Ordered at bar, had the roast dinners which were served quickly under 20 minutes. Good options, disappointing no pork but the beef was tender and delicious. We saved room for puddings and tried the new “Homer” a rather large wonderful dessert! Lovely friendly staff, thanks to our lovely waitress’
Lovely Sunday lunch with the family. Great prices and lovely food. Cosy oldie pub feel with all the wooden beams we absolutely love it.

Lots of parking, cozy inside. The staff was very friendly. Ordered the pub classic deal. Food was delicious. Will be back again.

I took my Father here for a meal which we always do after our trip to cash and carry. We have always loved the atmosphere and the food but this was a different story. My dad had the 8oz rump well done I had the sizzler with rump steak cooked rare, baked potato and coleslaw and peppers. My Fathers steak, you couldn't cut with a chain saw it was that burnt, he left most of his meal. My steak was rare but there was no meat just gristle and fat. The baked potato was like mash which I cant eat. The waitress did come over after 5 minutes of us receiving our meal and at first glance it looked OK, it really wasn't unfortunately. We both left most of our meal. I waited for the plates to be collected so I could put a complaint in but, no waitress came so I left. Needless to say we will not be returning and we were quite regular customers.
