Best chip shop I’ve ever been too food is cooked fresh every time staff go far and beyond for there customers to the point one of the lady’s went out of her way to drop off my wallet to my house after I left it in the shop so friendly when ordering food ???

I was giving a talk at the Greenfinch Church Hall, having driven from Cambridge and being early I spotted Cod Fellas. Needed a small bite to eat, so only ordered a portion of chips. I was pleased to see the sign outside that stated they fry with beef dripping which in my experience means quality food! What can I say, the portion was large, but very reasonable at £2.90, beautifully cooked and very very tasty. If I’m in Ipswich again I will definitely be buying from Cod Fellas again!!!

my time in ipswich was limited but i can say that, what i took away from the experience, is that Ipswich Codfellas is some of the best food and service i have experience in my short existence on this plant. i salute you, ipswich

Decided to pop in as running late home and was quite shocked at the prices. Two medium cod and one portion of chips £17!!!! Apart from the price the fish was overcooked and chips had obviously been there a while as they weren't overly hot and full of scraps.
Firstly didn't put any chips in with the fish and then found out instead of 2 haddock I had one haddock and one cod both fish were dry and tasteless. The scampi had a fishy smell to it which is never good. We were not inpressed at all

This was a google maps find, as its located within a close knit community in Ipswich.We were able to download a menu, phone in an order (for 5x adults and 1x child) and then collect our order, approx 30 minutes laterThe food was hot, well wrapped and very tasty. The fish was fresh and moist.So for us this english fish and chip shop is highly recommended ?

Food was very tasty but I wasn't happy with the service I ordered by phone and was told 15 mins but when I arrived I still had to wait another 45 mins for it when others turned up and ordered over counter and got their food before ours!! Probably won't use Codfellas again..

Shame food is lovely but poor service, what I added up from ordering from the online menu on the website was different to what we got charged. So when I rang to say I’ve been overcharged and what I ordered from the online menu was £21.30 and got charged £25.60. His response was the prices are wrong. Then went on to say that he knew nothing about an online menu and that he knew nothing about a website, so ur telling me u don’t know that you don’t know you have an online menu and website. And he knew nothing well how do youKnow the prices are wrong then if you didn’t know there was an online menu? Very poor service.

Ordered x2 chicken deluxe burgers. Couldn’t eat them, the batter was over done and had an awful fishy taste to it.Disappointed as we have heard such good things about this place.
