Hidden gem on one of the best streets in Ipswich. Focaccia sandwiches whose price absolutely justifies what you get! Thick, fluffy, grilled to perfection. What a wonderful lunch spot - grab yourself a sandwich today!

I came for breakfast after a chaotic morning. What awaited me was a warm, cozy, and welcoming atmosphere, with friendly and helpful people. The food is well priced for the quality, I enjoyed a bacon, avo, and Blue Cheese foccacia and it came to me warm and wrapped in paper. It was a beautiful sandwich and delicious. If you find yourself in Ipswich, check out this place, you won't be disappointed.

The best sandwich I’ve ever had in my entire 22 years on earth??

Perfect sandwich shop. Fit for Notting hill. Great coffee used, great menu. Flowing with Italian roots but really has a sandwich for everyone! Under £7 for a luxury sandwich is not far off subway, but uses luxury ingredients! Beautiful service too. Clearly family owned and run. Owners cooking focaccia as I write this! Lovely place, lovely decoration and lovely food. Ipswich was missing a sandwich shop!

We absolutely loved our food, something completely different. Andy was super friendly, a really nice person. We only regret not being able to visit again whilst on our trip. All the best for the future :)

Not like other sandwich shops...I've only been here once and I plan to come back. For starters they use home made focaccia bread, I'm a bit of a home baker and I can't get mine this good.I asked if they buy in or do their own beef brisket, and they slow cook it themselves but were about to change the recipe. I get the feeling that everything is hand made which just goes to show the love and care they put into the place.I tried the philly steak and blue cheese focaccia and I loved it. The potion size was just right and the taste was wonderful. I saw a lady with a salad (maybe I'll try that next time), and that looked wholesome and, again, a good potion size.Next time I'm in here, I'll try a few more things out like their cakes, salads etc. With the cost of living crisis and how small businesses are struggling, I'm definitely going to come back and support them.

Yum! Best sandwich I've had in a very long time. And service with a smile from some very pleasant owners. I had the Tuscan Chicken and a sausage roll, both delicious.

A loverly place to sit have coffee chat to a really nice man who runs it with his wife , we had the Foccacia Summer Veg and crumbled Feta AMAZING, toasted takes it to another level. The best coffee, strong so you don't have to pay for an extra shot. A must go to place x

Today I popped into St Nicholas Sandwich Shop in Ipswich and Andy really doesn't disappoint! It was everything you'd want from a hospitality point of view, great customer experience, friendly and most importantly the food smashes it! I went for the vegan bean on their own baked Focaccia bread and I'll be returning as soon as possible for it again!

Had a steak and cheese toasted sandwich, coffee and lemon cake. WOW! Forget Costa and all the other large chains, The service was fantastic, the food is fresh and prepared with care and it tasted amazing! Will definitely be eating here again.

I used to grab a chicken and pesto wrap when it was under the previous owners and they were delicious ? also staff were friendly and welcoming. I had no idea it had changed hands and walked into a different shop, which offered fresh foccacia bread which is lovely if you like that sort of thing, i dont and was looking for something lighter, like a,wrap or salad bowl. the salad bowls previously were £4.50 and packed full. I was a bit taken aback by the £6.50 and must of offended the chap because i was bluntly told you dont have to have one!! ? was trying to weigh up if u had enough money but that immediately decided it for me. I appreciate costs have gone up...but there is absolutely no need to be rude to your potential new customers. Hopefully they will read this and re think how and what they say to customers.I then popped into the sandwich shop over the road sorry don't know the name got a lovely light sandwich for £3.75 was delicious
