Went for Sunday lunch, we both had the roast lamb which was perfectly good as were the vegetables. A very generous plate of taste food.We then both had the Syrup pudding which was so light and fluffy. The staff were all very friendly and efficient. There is a good choice of beer and we'll kept. The pub was not that busy which is a shame as it is a very good place to eat.

Such a shame on the random opening times and limited menu. I guess it’s been done for a reason but I’m sure it would get more popular if it was open more often with more of a selection in food. New housing estates in the area, so need to attract the working crown who want a hassle free night not cooking.Fond memories of coming here with my Grandma for birthdays and events.

A unspoilt & (apparently) largely undiscovered gem. Community pub with excellent home-cooked, honest pub food. We had a tender lamb shank & the most delicious Mediterranean veg tart we (as non-veggies) had ever tasted. We’ll be back! Pub open Wed-Sun, but food Fr-Sun only

Just got home from another lovely lunch at the Duke. They definitely work hard at combining their food with their service to make sure any visit is the most welcoming and enjoyable. Thank you hard working team, a lovely community pub.
