We used to visit often while living in Hadleigh for breakfast & recently hired the venue in whole for my partners 30th & couldn’t recommend high enough. From booking to the evening, the team couldn’t be more helpful & really allowed us to make it our own. The food was amazing & all the staff were so welcoming - highly recommend & so grateful it went as smoothly as it did. Thank you!

Beautiful little dog friendly coffee shop and eatery that we stopped at, halfway through a round walk from Polstead to Hadeigh.Cosy, welcoming and just a shame that we had Sunday Lunch booked in the afternoon so we couldn’t sample the cakes which looked delicious!Would come again if we return to the area!

We love going into the Flying Guardsman. Wonderful food at a reasonable price. New Years Eve was wonderful with an intimate atmosphere which some great music.

Had the room upstairs for 14 for breakfast, the waitress was a delight and really had her work cutout, up and down the stairs constantly with trays and plates, the telly was available for the children, and the little room to the side was amazing for the 4 children to play. The food was great and catered for all the fussy ones, too. Ordered in advance a couple of days before. All went like clock work. Will definitely use it again, very accommodating indeed lovely place. Well done to all.

We went for breakfast on a Sunday morning, and we were the first in. It didn't take long to start filling up. Staff the whole time were happy, helpful, and making sure everyone had what they wanted and needed. Highly recommended you try thus place if you're ever in Hadleigh.

Today was my 5th visit to the Flying Guardsman in Hadleigh high street. This is a great place whether you’re just having coffee or as in our case full breakfasts for family of 6. The venue is in a beautiful old property and has been converted well into charming cafe / bar, the staff are friendly and food is 1st class. What’s not to love. Not tried the weekend evening events yet but it’s on the list.

Staff here are lovely. Extremely helpful and abliging. There was a long wait for our order but we were kept fully informed of the problem , which meant a lot. The food was worth the wait, especially the omlette. Again the staff were great. Thankyou ?

My family and I have been coming here now for a good 3 weeks. Due to the first time being a treat. The staff are incredible; they're all super friendly and really try to get to know there customers. The 'full english' is packed with so many flavours and high quality products. Recently, they have gone to their 'winter menu' and well I didn't know how they could have got any better, but they surely did. I tried their 'soup of the week' which was spicy butternut squash. Purely WOW!!! Keep up the good work!!

We visit here at least once a week, normally a Sunday with our dog, they are very dog friendly & offer dog treats which is an added bonus for her, the coffee is great, staff very friendly & welcoming & the food is also very good, lots of choice of where to sit inside or out & very pleasant.

We arrived at lunchtime and it was empty! The lady was very nice & friendly. We sat outside once we eventually found the door to get out, it’s a bit of a maze. We found a table to sit at but it was a bit odd as I wasn’t sure if it was set up to sit outside. The chairs were a bit all over the place, the tables had bits stuck down the cracks & there were cigarette butts on the floor. It all needed a good sweep & tidy up. It was all quite relaxing once we’d settled, the sound of the birds, the little water spout in the pond & the sunshine. The food & drinks were nice but definitely overpriced for what you get. It’s a difficult time for everyone & when you decide to go out & spend your hard earned cash you want a nice meal & feel that you have got your monies worth. I used the toilet before I left & it needs a very good clean & a lick of paint. Unfortunately we won’t be rushing back.

Dog friendly something we haven't found much of in this town. Old worldly look with tables from planks but comfortable and clean.
