It is hard to find any positives in this place. I waited by the bar while the staff ate pizza in the kitchen area until someone spotted me. I ordered a guinnes Zero and had to open and pour it myself as it was plonked on the bar with a cloudy glass. There were some darts players in who seemed to enjoy themselves but the place was very sad, dated and empty and the staff seemed pretty depressed.

Been to The Duke of York a few time and always had a fantastic experience. Great, affordable food and a welcoming atmosphere. Been served by Levi both times we’ve been there and we can’t thank her enough! Always goes above and beyond and is so accommodating and friendly especially with the children. Highly recommend for anyone with families or just enjoys a pint!Kid-friendliness: Has great facilities for children and really welcoming. Great mixture of choices for fussy eaters and all for less than a fiver!
