Food was superb but as they were very busy, the service was very slow.Parking: Parking is free in either supermarket carpark, recreation ground or on road .Kid-friendliness: There were families with children.

Couple of days back I went to this restaurant with my husband. Before going to the restaurant I checked the closing time on google which was mentioned as 10:30 pm. So we went to the restaurant around 10:2 pm for take away, there were a few customers who were already having food inside. After seeing us the first question the person ( he might be manager or supervisor) asked ( in ignoring tone) was ‘how can I help you’! It’s a restaurant where everyone knows people go there to have food and not to ask for a treatment or something. That’s was really disappointing and he would have at least said that they are closed early for today or something but he was obviously avoiding the customers. This is really bad and the hospitality was worst. So we didn’t even get the mindset to order take away, I don’t really suggest this restaurant?

The staff were attentive to start with with taking drinks and asking if we wanted popadoms. Never had ketchup with chilli flakes mixed in as an accomplishment before I must say! We were part of a big group of 13 and my main of a prawn dhansak was served first. 5 minutes later I was given my naan, another 10 minutes later after everyone else on the table had been given their main, I finally got my pilau rice and I could eat. Waiting 15minutes meant my main dish got cold ❄️ Dhansak is a hot, sweet and sour dish with its main ingredient of lentils. There was only a mere handful in mine :-( my partner ordered the banana rice to try, the rice arrived with no banana, only almonds :-( it was returned still with almonds with some banana chips. It was obvious they had just added those to the rice he returned as it came back with almonds still - good job he has no nut allergy! My biggest bug bear and I still cannot understand for the life of me why it was left for 1 x waiter to serve 13x main dishes when there were was another waiter who disappeared and a front of house bar manager? Food was cold, not up to standard and frankly glad I didn't spend a fortune in there. Oh yes, there was a £37 service charge whacked on at the end, which is not detailed ANYWHERE in the menu. I'd never come back again, very disappointed:-(

I had a rare takeaway from Medhi after not using them for probably a couple of years. Although the food was fine the portion sizes have shrunk considerably. The Lamb rezellah was in a typical takeaway plastic tray but I would guess about ½ to 2/3 full. I also ordered a Mehdi platter which as it is a defined number of pieces cannot easily 'shrink!' The staff were pleasant and the ordering and collection process fine but I will not be re ordering.

We like to try different dishes and we are glad we picked that one, we shared all our dishes out to the family and we are all super impressed. We will be ordering again! Thank you very much

We had not been to this restaurant for many years, but remembered it as being good when it first opened. We had prebooked but visited on a quiet evening so it might have been OK as a walk-in. Our meals were tasty, served with a minimum of fuss and very enjoyable. We shall return if we are passing that way again.

The surroundings aren't great but there are rumours of development coming, but don't let that stop you if you like tasty food. We went there at around 7 on a Friday and no-one was there. By 8 pm the place was full !! What great food. So tasty. We went back and it was the same. I've not been to a restaurant before where the food has been prepared with such love - love of food. Usually a jalfrezi is just a plain old sauce with whole chillis thrown in. Not here, you could hardly see chillis, but the taste told you they were in there. Excellent. My only tiny issue is that the waiters don't speak good English as they couldn't understand some of our questions. But go, eat and love the flavours!Parking: Park behind Sainsburys. Easy access from there.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp up from carr park if street parking is not available next to the bus stop.

As a British Indian, this is my favourite local Indian restaurant. The food certainly reminded me of my mum and grand mothers food.Highly recommend a visit.

Monday night in February, but there were still quite a few people in the restaurant so that must be a good sign. Food was lovely and the waiters were very attentive without being overly so. Thoroughly recommend it.
