If you are in town and want the friendliest Café then Bambino is the place, located in the Valley opposite the zebra crossing, freshly made food coffee and an Acholic licence selling bottle beers and soft drinks. Staff are always polite and food is good from pasta, salads, jacket potatoes and in the morning breakfast and a range of pastries and cakes. You can sit in or takeaway. Most people that try Bambino often return. So why not try Bambino when your next in the valley and support a local friendly business.Kid-friendliness: Kids welcome

I have used this cafe over many years but not since Covid.I am staying locally short term and decided to revisit this morning 25th August,I was welcomed and this cafe is very clean.I didn’t ask for a menu but just ordered a regular black americano and two slices of toast and butter, these duly arrived and were quite adequate but nothing more. The bread was obviously from a large supermarket loaf nothing special.I was horrified to learn when I went to pay that it was £6.60… coffee £3.10, toast and butter £3.50!!!!…I asked for a receipt as did wonder whether I had someone else’s bill, but no it was mine, when I queried the cost I was sharply reminded that the prices are clearly on the menu!…I was honestly taken aback about this gross profiteering and extortionate price.I paid but obviously won’t be returning, more fool me for preferring to support an independent cafe rather than a high street chain in this very beleaguered high street that is Caterham….☹️…so very disappointed and well out of pocket…
BEST COFFEE AROUND!! Staff very friendly with attentive service.

This is a biased review as the owner allows me to offer my poetry??for his clients to read for free.Known by locals as the nicest shop owner in town; perfect host; friendly smile with attention to detail. All food is healthy, freshly prepared each morning and the coffee is as good as the big chains in town. He wins on service and quality though, hands down. The locals have been visiting for up to 2️⃣0️⃣ years; congratulations on serving the community for so long Caffè Bambino. Here’s to you ☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️Paul Michael Kitchen
