Not very friendly at all here, the lady can be quite rude at times, that's why I use the Oriental Express just down the road. Lovely people, great service, fast delivery and just all round better.

Don't listen to any of the negative reviews we have had take out every Friday for the last 4 years and they have always been absolutely fantastic they sound Chinese on the phone because they are Chinese. And the delivery chap called Ray is an absolute star

Very happy with the whole experience. We collected our food. The lady at the counter was very pleasant and smiled at me when air came to pay and collect. The food was very nice and prefer it to other local takeaways. The meal for 2 and Hong Kong style pork. All was very lovely and in particular we loved the beef in black bean sauce, which is the nicest one we’ve had for a very long time.Would highly recommend this place.

We have now had 2 takeaways from here recently since it's been under new management. The flavour is good but don't like the Chicken they use in the Curry. Preferred the nice big chunks of chicken breast that you used to get rather than what ever it is they use now, which is sliced soggy tasting chicken :-(

Food cheap and cheerful. But front of place poor youngster wore mask behind plastic barricade, but staff in kitchen nothing and I can see handling food without gloves or utensils, ask "manager " she said its hot in kitchen.. maybe invest in air conditioning. . Take your chances

I had numerous orders from this takeaway before and after the new owners. I must say that I totally agree about the negative reviews before the changeover as it was always a lady who spoke broken English with no attitude or patience. However since the new owners took over in March 2020 I totally fell in love with the quality of the food and service. The new lady is nice and smiling, and on chatting to her I learned that she was trained in restaurants and also the head chef used to work in restaurants for over 15 years! No wonder the food tastes much better than before. Absolutely the best takeaway I've ever had
After trying most all the chinese restaurants in the area,(to which I have been most disappointed on most)can say whole heartedly that this restaurant is thee!!.. most authentic and provides thee most beautifully flavoured authentic cuisine! I wish I had found you sooner golden river!! 12 years in esher ... never knew you were there!!Thoroughly enjoyed my meal and will be a new and reliable customer! Please keep up your authenticity within your food and you must have a happy chef,as happy chefs create great food!pancake rolls were best I've had in over 15 years!!! All excellent! 5*!!! Absolutely disgusting food. Prawns in the pancake rolls tasted like bleach and smelt off. Kung Po chicken tasted like chemicals and overall the food has made the whole household sick. Much better local Chinese takeaways. Very disappointing.

I think it's fair to say not everyone was happy with the recent change in management, mostly as the menu had changed. The new owners now offer some of the old favourites and the quality has improved greatly ?
