Good food - the burger was particularly tasty. They were a bit understaffed, so service was slow, but still a good experience.

The afternoon tea here was wonderful. Especially good value for children and excellent quality. The scones and cream were delicious. The staff very attentive. Highly recommended, we will be returning.

Asked for Saville Stew (which was supposed to come with venison) no venison left so only choice was beef.So decided on the haddock and chips. I was looking forward to a good size piece of fish instead it was better with hardly fish in it!My wife's fish was slightly better she also got a lemon to squeeze over hers. Mine was missing so I had to ask for that. Chips nothing to write home about and of course it just came with peas which were cold. Hardly exciting.Oh yes and the cost for this lovely lunch. £39.90 almost £40 quid! Not exactly cheap as chips!

Very disappointed with: no menu to choose from, very little choice of snacks, noticed someone had soup so asked for soup which wasn't hot, tables cluttered, young staff working hard but not enough of them, senior member of staff taking orders at the till & not correct. Very disappointing as love the gardens.

Do not cater for gluten-free, wanted a light lunch like a sandwich, only some cakes were gluten-free, nothing labelled, ingredients not shown on items available. Very poor.Dietary restrictions: Don't bother, unless you want to take a chance, nothing labelled!

A friend and I were supposed to go for lunch in Egham on Friday but I lost my appetite (again) after the sad loss of my beloved Partner so she suggested going for a coffee at Savill Garden (she has membership). It was very busy but we found a table (which needed to be cleared) and my friend went off to get coffee and cake for herself and tea for me. I watched the lady clear and clean the tables and she certainly was a Speedy Gonzalez. Her name is Alexandra although she is known as Alex. When my friend came back she commented how chaotic it was at the counter and I told her that maybe they need another Alex. She is such a breath of fresh air, efficient, polite and notices everything. Well done Alexandra and I do hope that you are appreciated because you are a real gem.

I had an amazing experience at Savill Garden. Tried festive burger and chicken roast which was next level. Place was crowded but well managed. Manas served us well. Even in the new year rush he was able to get our orders straight and quick.

I took my 87 year old grandma for afternoon tea with my family. There were 5 of us in total. We were initially seated right by the automatic door, which did create quite a draught. I asked the manager if we could move to a booth so my grandma didn’t get cold and he wasn’t too keen on the idea as the table was set. It seemed slightly pedantic when there were free booths opposite us and we had paid £30pp. It should be noted that all of the younger servers were however extremely accommodating. The manager did then move us and this drastically improved our experience. The afternoon tea was delicious and multiple different members of staff came over to ask if everything was okay. We were taking family photos and staff came over and asked if we’d like them to take them which was very kind. Steve started his shift halfway through our afternoon tea and was an excellent server, so thank you to him.

I was served by Lakshay today, and as always he was professional yet friendly. A credit to Saville Gardens and the restaurant. Highly recommend.

I went with friends to the Savill Garden kitchen for lunch on Monday thinking we would have a nice pre Christmas lunch in this lovely ambient setting and was expecting the food to be of a high standard in an upmarket place like this . How wrong can you be ! The so called "festive pizza " sounded nice with turkey , brie and cranberry but it was barely edible with wafer thin shavings of dried up turkey which could have been processed and was very unappetising . My friends had the roast turkey which was swimming in a pool of lukewarm gravy and with what seemed to be frozen roast potatoes and unappetising vegetables . I am not one to complain unless it is justified but I wanted to warn other potential customers not to waste their money . We would have expected better from the Savill Garden on the Crown Estate .

Taking a friend for her birthday for lunch today, we chose the Roast Turkey lunch. This arrived looking good, carrots cooked well, Parsnip’s pale and rather undercooked which we both left. Potatoes were definitely not roast, I could see black areas on my own, a mushy heap hiding under the Turkey. The small sausage and pale undercooked bacon I left as looked inedible. Should have taken the plate back and asked for a better cooked one !! My friend left a considerable amount too, for a bill of £42 plus coffees certainly money wasted.

Our lunch was a delightful surprise: we arrived mid long walk, cold and hungry but the welcome and service (from Athul) and the food were excellent. A great place!

We go for walk in Great windsor park religiously every weekend. We have visited the Saville restaurant many times and I must say Their Sunday roast and winter venison stew is absolutely amazing. Cannot fault it. Breakfast isn’t our favourite as it is never hot… Service on the busy weekend days is quite slow but we are never in a rush so we don’t mind that. Our waiter (didn’t catch his name) could not do enough for us. Young, smiley man if I see him again and catch his mane I will leave another review.

My friend and I are regulars as we visit fortnightly to put the world to rights over lunch and inevitably, cake. The food is also good, however what makes our visits so special is the service, especially Edita who makes us feel very special as she remembers little pockets of info about our food likes and dislikes. She was right today, the vegan cheese on the pizza was lovely!
