We had an incredible stay at the hotel. The receptionist Denise was an absolute superhero! She went above and beyond to help us and was really welcoming. The hotel had a lovey charm and the facilities were well kept. The room was very spacious and we think the ‘vintage’ feel added to the character of the hotel. Would visit again!

This hotel really isn’t up to usual Premier Inn standards. We had a family room and it was very cold and generally in desperate need of some TLC. I definitely won’t be going back.

Very tired and desperately in need of complete renovation, not at the standard of most premier inns.

Room layout was a bit odd ?

The server was friendly and doing his best, but there weren't enough staff on shift, so ultimately, the service fell well short of reasonable expectations. We had booked a table but waited at the host stand for 10 minutes before we saw any sign of staff. We had to wait to order, wait to be served, wait to advise that one of the kids' meals was burnt, generally just lots of waiting. The portions on the lunchtime set menu were very small, and although edible didn't leave any lasting impression that we would like to eat from that neu again. All in all, it was very disappointing.

Been to visit a relative in hospital so treated ourselves to dinner on the way home. Great location, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Food was reasonable and OK value for money.

Proper tired hotel, to make it worse I was given room 15 which is next to a room marked private, where all the staff go for a cigarette and it smells through into room 15.

Lovely old hotel with quaint rooms, stayed here many times over the years. Staff always friendly and helpful, lovely walk into Godalming village, returning again very soon. Attached Beefeater is also very good.

Room was clean but very run down in a way I’d never experienced at a Premier Inn. Damaged ceiling tiles, carpet felt very old, damage and marks to walls and trim. Decor and fittings aged and not very inviting. Water heat and pressure was really inconsistent during showering. Paid for a continental breakfast, there were so many missing items, no porridge, no berries or fruit, only room temperature semi skimmed milk on offer. Both my cereal bowl and tea cup were dirty, with half melted sugar stuck to both from improper washing, both of which I realised too late. Really disappointing, would advise using one of the other closest inns if it all possible.

The room was nice and the bed even nicer. But the real treat was breakfast. Unlike most Premier Inns where the entire breakfast is a buffet. Here the continental breakfast is buffet but the cooked breakfast is ordered and cooked fresh. It does make a difference and it was very nice.

Godalming Premier Inn was a perfect location from which to start and finish a MTB tour of the North Downs. We arrived on Sunday morning, having agreed that we could leave our cars at the hotel, returning to stay overnight on Tuesday. Without this, our trip wouldn't have been possible. Rooms were clean and comfortable, albeit a little warm, and evening meals and breakfast were excellent. The hotel bar did close at 10pm, which we felt was a bit early.
