We ordered takeaway here for the first time, having had all sorts of problems with other Chinese restaurants in Horley. I must say everyone in our family, even 3 young children, loved the food. The most impressive thing is you immediately notice the food is not greasy, not heavy…. We ate loads and didn’t feel we’d overdone it at the end of the meal. Was great to see a 5 food hygiene rating also. We wish we had tried the New Emperor sooner and hope we experience the same the next time and this becomes our new go to place in Horley for Chinese.

Food was expensive compared to other places and also came in small dish pots even the chow mein, taste wasn't all that either. What a waste of 62 pound.

Really polite and friendly staff. Decent prices, food quailing in my opinion could be improved.. the chicken in the chow mein and chicken fried rice was undercooked and slightly pink in the middle. A real shame because the rest of the meal was really nice, probably wouldn’t try again.

Our favourite Chinese, we pre ordered a selection of food for collection at lunchtime and the food was ready on time and lovely and hot, wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Not the best, but not really bad, chicken satay had some weird sauce to it, no flavour and thick like wallpaper paste. The Singapore rice noodles seemed to be made with pasta not rice noodles...had better.

The staff is always friend and happy, the speed is superhuman quick and there's not much to fault about the food. Good value for money.
