Myself, partner and little girl came here on Thursday evening and I have to say the food was incredible and so we're the staff running it, all really friendly people! Great new look comfortable setting, Will be coming here more often and I'll make sure my daughter eats all her peas next time ?.Thanks for a great evening!

Really enjoyed dining here last night, wonderfully attentive and friendly staff, offering absolutely delicious food at reasonable prices. A lovely atmosphere in a modern setting, would definitely recommend.

Such a lovely run pub. I was dubious after friends had said their experience during lockdown was dire. So I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and the friendly, family service we recieved. We had a booking for Mother's Day and it was a great meal, everyone enjoyed their food.Since I struggle with my hearing I did find it difficult at times to hear as our table was extremely close to two others. I get that they want to maximise the space amd potential bums in seats but even the next table had to ask me to move my car so they could get past. Sometime to consider as I get the management won't be able to experience what it feels like to be a customer at every table. So just thought I would feed that back.

Very disappointed, before and during covid we have been a few times and really enjoyed the food. We haven't been there for a while and decided to try last week. How disappointed we were, the food was tasteless, we had the roast dinner and for £16.50 it was definitely not worth the money at best it should be under £10. All of apart from the parsnip was tasteless. We will not be going back, it's a real shame as the previous owners or manager ran the pub well and had amazing food at reasonable prices. I wouldn't reccomend

We booked the barn room out the back for my aunts 80th birthday. There were 9 of us. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was beyond expectation. I highly recommend this place. We will most certainly be going back. A very big thank you to Katrina and the team

First visit last night since restrictions lifted and following the refurb. What a disappointment. It used to be warm, cosy, inviting and quirky. That is all gone! It looks stark and was frankly cold looking and felt cold, it was almost empty. The stage has gone, they no longer do breakfasts. My friends and I used to love a long chatty breakfast and the music nights were fabulous. The food was mediocre at best and the company needs to rethink its strategy or they will lose more customers than just us!!

Horrendously vile customer service!I unfortunately had a bottomless brunch cancelled last year due to Covid (not their fault!). They refused to refund me my £50 deposit, but I appreciated the money could be used towards something else.I waited for restrictions to lift and in August of this year I rang to book an afternoon tea baby shower. I gave plenty of notice as the booking was for October! (And they confirmed I could use my £50 towards it)I sent out invites and arranged gifts for my guests.Fast forward to the DAY BEFORE THE EVENT. I rang to check everything was good and at that point was advised they are no longer doing afternoon tea! No one bothered to tell me, and it has taken for me to ring them to find out! When I asked what the alternative was, they said the 'standard lunch menu'. They were far from apologetic and when I asked to speak to a Manager, I was transferred across to a very rude unapproachable man called Richard. After explaining it all (rather upset) he refused to refund and said it’s against their policy. In this particular circumstance a refund should be offered no question! They have left me with no event with less than 24 hours’ notice, gave no reasonable explanation or apology, and hadn't even bothered to contact me themselves! And to make matters worse, despite upsetting me, he hung up on me!Very rude, very unprofessional. Never experienced anything like it! Don't waste your time and certainly don't pre-pay them any money. He claimed he wouldn't refund as 'Covid had hit them hard', well I am sorry but haven't we all. Doesn't make it acceptable to take people’s money and undeliver on what was booked!Disgraceful.

Had an absolutely amazing time at the Charlwood last night from start to finish, we were escorted to our seats and served promptly, the staff were run off there feet but still managed to maintain excellent customer service whilst fulfilling our needs for drinks and meal. The food was delicious and well presented and the Cabaret Act was superb and well worth the £10 ticket prices. We will definitely be returning and would like to thank all the staff for making our experience so enjoyable ?

Terrible,We booked a pod and paid a £20 deposit, the visit was for my birthday. We were informed there were no pods and we were seated in the marquee. As you can see from the picture it was a desperately far cry from what you might expect looking at pictures of the place. We were not offered a drinks menu, we were informed about 20 minutes in that our server "would be with us soon"After half an hour we gave up waiting for service of any kind and got up to leave, the lady that seated us saw us leaving and completely ignored us.We were polite, we waited patiently and then we gave up.I cannot recommend the Charlwood, its wonderful to be busy after lockdown, but not at the expense of integrity, service or diligence.

Our first visit to The Charlwood in a few years. What a great idea the outside pods are. Seat upto 6 people. Each has a heater for when it gets chilli. The service time was OK, and the food was of a high standard. Thanks to our service person - Luca for making us welcome. We will be coming back for more.

Cheap and cheerful if that is what you are looking for. Sunday roast - 2 for £10. You get waht you pay for. Plenty of choice on the menu. Burgers were a hit with the kids. Ok food for a fair price. Toilets were rather unclean and could have done with a good brushing!!

I went to this pub yesterday with my walking group. We ordered various things from different menus and everyone was happy with their meal. We didn't have to wait too long for our food, and prices were excellent!
