Best value pub and food, as I can tell, in Sunbury/ Shepperton.Whenever the bill is presented it is usually much cheaper than expected and I always say, 'how much?', surprised at how reasonable it is.Is it the most trendy or exciting? No, but it is no nonsense great value. Chefs, open kitchen are always very good. The chefs and staff have always been very friendly, speak to my children, give good recommendations. There is usually sports on tv, you can have a beer over a game of Rugby or Cricket, or sit in the restaurant bit and have a meal.Nice beer garden as well. All in all, a nice pub, suitable for the family, at a good price.

The food was so good here. We had the carvery and it was excellent, we also ordered a meal off the menu which turned up quickly and had great reviews. The drinks were excellent and the staff helped us when we asked for it to be made slightly differently. The goat was quiet when we visited at lunchtime so there were loads of room and you got to pick your own table and order at the bar.A few things were not available but what they did have was excellent. The parking is free if going into the goat just don't forget to put your registration number in.

What a lovely place to have a meal ! The car very staff were friendly , carvery was delicious, hot and fresh and the best bit about it is you don’t wait around for it as it’s a carvery. They also served my favourite New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and I finished the meal with a lovely cherry sponge and custard . All that for under £20! Will definitely be going back again…. and again !

I went there for a Sunday roast dinner with my family. We were ushered to a dirty table and waited 20 minutes to be given our tickets to approach the serving table and another 10 minutes for our drinks. The food was okay but the service was absolutely terrible. They messed up our desert order and presented us with a bill for £165. They charged us for 8 meals and deserts even although there was only 3 of us and even when we pointed out the mistake, we still had to wait another 20 minutes for them to sort the bill. I will not ever eat there again.

Not been here for a while as our last visit wasn’t great. Thought we’d give another go and was pleasantly surprised. Friendly staff, plenty of parking and our roast was lovely!! Will definitely return and recommend!

The Goat's all you can eat breakfast is exactly what it says on the menu. On our visit we made our selection from a self-service buffet layout of pork sausages, bacon, black pudding, beans, hash browns, grilled tomatoes, Belgian waffles, fried bread and even a breakfast pizza slice! Who has pizza for breakfast? Apparently it is a 'thing' and here you can. We had most of the above with freshly cooked eggs - everything was well cooked and more then set us up for the day. Friendly staff, comfortable place. Astonishing value at £5.49 and far better quality, and quantity, than other breakfasts we've had on this trip.

Even though it was 2-4-1 Pizza Thursday we went for the traditional carvery. With a choice of delicious looking roast joints to choose from we opted for roast beef and ham which were expertly carved by the chef onto our own plates. It was then self service, from Yorkshire pud, roast and mash potatoes, a variety of vegetables and sauce. The dinner was delicious, the meats tender and succulent and vegetables well cooked and plentiful. Stuffed as we were, we still ordered the profiteroles sundae ( with two spoons) to share over coffee. Great ice cream and unforgettable chocolate covered profiteroles finished the meal nicely. Delicious carvery, with choice of roasts and vegetables, nice atmosphere, friendly staff, great value for money.

We booked my sons 30th birthday family meal at The Goat, on arrival we had been allocated a separate dining area within the restaurant which had been laid out to sit us all together, we were greeted by friendly helpful staff and a fabulous deck of fresh meats, vegetables and condiments. We had carveries which were absolutely delicious and the children had pizzas from the kids menu which were made quickly and looked lovely, great choice of desserts to suit all ages and the crayons and colouring sheet was a nice touch to keep the kids amused! I highly recommend Stonehouse The Goat for good quality reasonably priced delicious food and can't wait to come back very soon !

we visited here on sunday with a few friends, we order our food and drinks on the app, which arriver after 20 minuties however the rest of our food took over half an hour and was given to us by a rude waitress who was too busy having a conversation on the phone while at our table, we asked for napkins once she had finished her chat and they took 20 minutes aswell as being thrown at us by her

Visited The Goat carvery this evening with my family and it was such a lovely experience, good food and the staff are so friendly and accommodating. It is very reasonably priced, was very clean and there was plenty of food available on the carvery. Can't wait to visit again :-)

We was recommended to come here for Sunday lunch and the food did not disappoint at all! It was lovely food and wasn't that expensive however, the staff was all over the place. Got sat waited 15mins before we called a staff member over to order our drinks then again had to ask someone to take our orders. The young lady told us none of the drinks on their menu is what they had which totally confused us. She didn't know the menu at all we had to explain it to her which is very odd. She later told us it was her first day and she has no idea what was going on. She definitely needed someone to shadow which wasnt happening, felt sorry for her really. We then stayed for puddings which someone else done for us. One pudding arrived the next one we was still waiting 25mins later so we then cancelled it and decided to leave. Just shame the service wasn't as good as the food was.

Came with some friends for a catch up and we had carvery. It was great, not very busy so we could sit and natter all night. The food was lovely and some decadent desserts! Very nice and will return!
