Came and had a meal with friends and Blessing was a great waiter who made some great recommendations from the menu. He was very attentive and delivered our food very promptly!

Visited the minnow in July 2022, the food was good, however the experience was made better by the service, had a man (by the name of Blessing) who helped us by giving suggestion on the menu. He delivered the food and drinks in good time and very well mannered.

Every time we go here the service is so poor ! The manager doesn’t seem to care ! Today they served us a fish Caesar salad to vegetarians - then claimed we ordered it. We like the menu and venue but the staff just aren’t up to it. Never again.

We visited the Minnow for a second time today having been here once before with a family group and had a pleasant afternoon with drinks and snacks, however today's experience was another level. We sat inside along with the other NINE customers. We ordered a pre dinner drink of a prosecco and a pint of London Pride....which wasn't a Pride but one of their other draught beers. The drinks finally arrived AFTER the starter of tempura squid, which was average but acceptable. We both ordered the king prawn, crab and chorizo linguini along with two glasses of wine, I had to get up and go to the bar twice to chase up our wines which I received well after the main course was delivered. The main course was...tasteless, despite us heavily seasoning it with both salt and pepper. We also asked for....and eventually received, some parmesan cheese which didn't really save the dish. Nor did the fact that I had to get up and get two spoons so we could eat the pasta. Truly disappointing experience all round.

From welcome, to food & drink offering, the staff went above & beyond - beautiful setting and ambiance - will definitely be back soon

We made a last minute reservation for Father’s Day dinner at the Minnow and we had fantastic experience. The team were great and very accommodating with our two very young children. Our starters were classic but the roast main was tasty and perfectly presented. We have been to the restaurant an number times in the past, this time the improved service and food made it truly excellent! Thank you!

My family and I went there are food terrible too expensive and the waiters and waitresses were not nice and I asked for extra meat and they forgot and didn’t say anything no sorry. Just go the Old Crown right across the road.

The main course arrived before our drinks the excuse was the bar is busy, my fish died of starvation it was all skin and batter very little flesh, when the bill can we were charged £4.50 for a bottle of water we didn’t have

Stopped by during a walk. Ordered 2 Americans and a coke. Took over 20 mins to arrive. I had to go to the bar twice, second time the tray was just sitting there, but no one thought to bring it outside to us. The place wasn’t particularly busy late afternoon. Not good enough to have to wait that long for a simple drink. Won’t be going there again. Plenty of other good pubs around.
