So I didn't want to give 1 star. But I could . I'm a big fan of Nando's in the uk.However after having food there on Wednesday evening I need to make some points.The manager was a very lovely man and so were his staff.However when I was at the till counter ordering extra drinks I watched the young cook on the bbq grill. She used the same tongs to pick raw meat from storage containers and turn over partially cooked chicken ... over and over. I kinda grimaced and wondered if I should flag it up.I thought maybe this is their normal procedure so continued with my order and ate the bbq chicken etc. Which was as nice as ever.However my mother and myself hadn't felt great since. Not food poisoning but feverish tired and a bit too regular to the loo...I'm still feeling a bit shabby today .. Friday.It might just be a coincidence but touching newly cooked meat with tongs that have taken raw meat from a storage box can't be good practice. I'm a good home cook and never allow raw meat utensils to come into contact with edible food.

Nando's Boldon is generally busy. It services customers who are going to the cinema next door and those out for a quick bite to eat. But, quick is an oxymoron for this place! Unless you book ahead for a reservation there will be a wait most evenings of anywhere between 20 mins and 1 hour, that's for a table, the food can take a long time from order to table delivery, our last visit took 40 minutes - not good! The service is poor, with a general disinterest from floor staff - low wage, low interest. Shame, because we like Nando's food, but not here.

However.Had to eat with one snoop and one fork for 2 people.Had to ask for our drinksWhen we got our glasses we could only get lemonade as the rest had ran out of syrupHad the wrong food brought to the table.Then when we got our order my burger was missing pineapple and halloumi.No body checked back on our table
Food took ages due to it being busy food was stacked on top of other food under heat laps i had to ask for it do go in the end due to the fact I was going to miss are film, just a pure waist of money all we got was a sorry while they quickly managed to finally make my food for take out, clearly forgot about just a stressful experience all I wanted was sit down meal
