Staff were all lovely and very helpful when asking about vegetarian options.Food was definitely nothing to rave about. A lot of veg at the buffet was cold (lunchtime on a Saturday at 1pm). Overall not the best lunch out.Vegetarian options: Not the best selection - I noticed other Toby Carverys have more options. I had the 'melt in the middle roast'. Was okay, not anything special - wouldn't recommend.

Took my oldest daughter for dinner after a great and tiring shopping trip at thr metro, thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Gave me faith after the last one I had in a different city wasn't enjoyable at all.. this one I really enjoyed and would happily go back to again.

Had wonderful service from Ella today very nice mannered and patient, and to angel for helping us move seats when I felt uncomfortable next to the window I’m very grateful as due to my autism it can make eating out very hard to do. They were both very lovely and definitely will be coming again.

On booking a table for 2 New Years Day and arriving we went up to get our carvey and got turkey and beef with veg and was told the Yorkshires would be ready in 2 mins which was fair enough, then was told when the yorkshires were done they would bring them to our table, during this time i asked the girl serving how long they would be to be told the oven wasnt working you know how it is!!20 min later when we had finished our food (if we had waited our food would have been stone cold ) the yorkshires came out we had already finished our food,we were not very impressed we expressed our concerns to the girl serving the table to be told well what do you want? i asked her to speak to the manager and we were told there was nothing she could do even though the yorkshires were not done until we had finished our food i felt the girl serving was speaking to us like we were serial complainers which is not the case we love Toby carvey we even stay at Toby Carvey Eden park Bromley kent when in London with nothing but praise ,and have been to several Toby carverys in the North East with no complaints .On the way out we spoke to the manager to air our concerns you order food that is advertised and expect to be able to have it whilst your food is hot and has not been eaten yet all we were told were the yorkshires were not rising and there was nothing she could do, to be fair we were thinking of booking christmas dinner for next year for all our family and was actually speaking to the manager about it before all this, the attitude of the staff and manager was frankly tough it was the oven! i never write bad reviews but feel this was necessary as we have been good customers in the past a good will gesture of a free pudding or even a small 10% off our next meal would have been some sort of guesture , as it is this Branch has lost 2 customers it may be just yorshires but it was the principle you would never go to any restaurant and not have what is advertised on the menu until your food is cold or already eaten, we will NEVER be returning to the Metro Centre branch frankly feel like never returning to a Toby again we came away very Dissapointed !!

Staying in the area for Christmas so chose here for our 3 course Christmas dinner, have to say the service was great,waitresses were friendly, helpful and worked really hard.the food i must say on the day was beautiful,everything was hot,perfectly cooked and extremely tasty,so much choice on the carvery,the meat was succulent not dry,the beef dripping roasties were amazing.This was our first experience of Christmas dinner out on Christmas day and we were not disappointed at all..good job Toby ????

Decided to come here for a roast dinner and the food was incredible however our waitress Olivia was amazing she gave us brilliant service, she was so friendly and always had a smile. She even engaged in a friendly chat which is always nice to have. Would come again.

We were served by Emily S tonight. From start to finish it was fantastic service, nothing was too much trouble for her & she took the time to actually talk to us.
