We ordered 2 meals & 1 was wrong & the other got cold very quickly......it was a pasta meal & it was served in a very cold dish!It was very quiet & there were only two other tables with customers, so not at all busy to interfere with good service! Very disappointed as we have been eating at ASK for many years ?

Booked a table for 4 on a Saturday for 13:15. We arrived about 15 mintes early but were happy to seat us. When the waiter came we ordered our food. However we waited over an hour for our meal. I know it was a Saturday but we hadn't been given any indication of how long the wiat would be which would have been appreciated. The waiter came over and told us it wouldn't be much longer as he seemed to see us looking about anxiously awaiting our meal. Food was lovely as it always has been when I've visited. We also ordered desserts, I ordered the cherry chocolate brownie as did somebody else in our group however no taste of cherry at all, just tasted of chocolate brownie. Was still lovely but slightly disappointing as was looking forward to a cherry taste to make it a bit different to usual. Would still return on an other occasion.
Had lunch here today 29th nov food was beautiful. Monica our waitress for lunch was excellent nothing was to much for here. What a lovely lady she is a credit to your restaurant. Our food was presented beautifully will be back . 5*

Grossly overpriced poor quality meals served by lovely people following the corporation structure. My daughter had spaghetti carbonara, tiny portion, £14.00,I had a chicken and mushroom pizza,also £14.00, the base was paper thin and could not support the weight of the toppings. A 100000 pizzerias on Tyneside would serve you better quality at 2/3 of that price. 300 mll bottle of diet Coke £5.50, go figure. Typical Newcastle city centre prices? I don't think so, won't be visiting again.

Enjoyed the meal which was full of flavour. A small irritation discovered after leaving was the liberty taken over the tip. I asked for the bill to be rounded up to £60 which I felt was reasonable, all things considered. However it was in the event rounded up by ten percent, a difference of just over an additional £1. I imagine the machine had a button preset to ten percent. Had this been explained I would have been happy to go with that.
