I had a wonderful meal at Avanti, a cosy and authentic Italian restaurant in Jesmond.The staff were very friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was lively and warm. I started with the meatballs, which were juicy and flavourful, served with a rich tomato sauce and bread.For the main course, I had the lasagna, which was one of the best I've ever had. It was layered with tender pasta, creamy béchamel, and a generous amount of cheese and meat. It was very filling and satisfying.I finished with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a cup of coffee, which were the perfect end to a delicious meal. I would highly recommend Avanti to anyone looking for a great Italian dining experience in Newcastle.

Not sure re gluten free.Parking: Depends on the time of day. There is street parking nearby, usually for 2 hours. Be careful re resident parking zones

I went for my birthday meal - amazing service and the food was delicious! They gave me a complimentary cake and limoncello shots for the whole table. Would definitely go again, so friendly and attentive and very affordable food for how nice it was.

A random pick from t'Internet but we struck the mother load. What a fabulous place. Not smart or shiny or glitzy or 'p' itself, but incredible atmosphere, best gluten free pizza I have EVER eaten and amazing hospitality. 100% recommend you find this little gem in West Jesmond.
