Part of the Marriot group of hotels.Food was good, beer was pressurised (no handpull), and quite dear (£6.50) for a pint of pale ale.The heating wasn't too great either, asked for warmer air but still blew cold.

This is a very pleasant restaurant and the food was well cooked as well as promptly served. It is well worth a visit. Breakfast was nice but the hot food needed to actually be hot.

We called in for lunch we were met straight away by a member of staff and shown to our table. All the staff we encountered were super friendly and efficient Our drink orders were taken promptly and we were left with menus We opted for the Sunday lunch which at £12.95 per head and was good value we also decided to have a starter which is an addition £4 per head I had the prawn cocktail for a starter which was very tasty. For my main course I opted for the beef which came with selection of vegetables and a nice large Yorkshire pudding which was all cooked to perfection A very pleasant time was had by all and we will definitely be back.

The staff in this hotel restaurant is great! I can’t emphasize enough.Didn’t try the steak but fish n’ chips were rather average. Fish was good, altho the batter was soggy and on the edge of uncooked inside.

Food was awful!! Served cold and slow!! Would not recommend!!! Travelled the world and if that was the only restaurant we would starve rather than eat there. A home cook could do better, however couldn’t fault the staff/service they were great and embarrassed

What makes your evening great after long exhausting day? Good food. What else? Great service. The art of hospitality is often non existent in some busy pretentious restaurants for example in London. Yet, I have arrived at Cast Iron restaurant and immiediately was greeted by immaculate and well mannered waiter named Kai. Food was tasty, and I was advised to go with chef recommendation on the juicy but well renedered ribeye. I was constantly checked on, this was non intrusive and well balanced. Thank you Kai, you added class to my evening and I went back to my room in upbeat mood. I hope you will receive a praise from your management and more. Thank you.

Second time for dinner here, both times have been fantastic. We had the Sirlion Steak, it has a nice chargrilled taste. Very friendly staff. Breakfast here is also really nice, English cooked breakfast selection is tasty and plenty options available.Downsides: Maybe some options are a little pricey and more reasonable home cooked meals should be on the menu

Absolutely terrible. A 22 pound steak that looks like a thin piece of rubber. Burger looked rubbish as well.

Avoid, avoid, avoid!!! So our starters where OK. My steak had to be sent back. I asked for medium rare and it was very well done, then when they made me a second one is was rare/blue. I was so hungry at this point and tired I just eat around the edges at the more cooked parts and eat the chips. But by the time my second steak had arrived back both my husband and son had both finished eating their lesagnas and our son said he wanted to go back to the room to use the loo. After dinner we went up to our room and realised he had been violently ill with d&v and within an hour my husband had it too. So not only was my steak absolutely crap (especially for the £28 it cost) I've had better in a Witherspoon. But both my husband and son obviously had food poisoning from the lesagna and where up all night taking it in turns in the loo and using the sink to be sick in while the other was on the loo. Sorry to be graphic but I would avoid this place and save your money. Considering the bill was nearly £100 I really wish I had spoken up and refused to pay for my steak at least (when paying we had no idea how ill our son was upstairs)

Its only for a restaurant in a hotel, but t would be better to eat somewhere outside In my opinion. In the metro mall are a lot of nice places to eat... also some Indian food restaurants at about 10 min8te walking distance. The restaurant is kot bad at all but it lacks atmosphere.. food is good but not super good. Overall somewhere between 3 and 4 stars I would say
