Indian Restaurants in Newcastle Upon Tyne

“Incredible restaurant! We had a very warm welcome by both the waiter and the manager. The manager was so friendly, funny, and eager to show us how the buffet worked. The food was of a sit-down restaurant standard, if not better. Truly authentic Asian food, plenty of spice - and lots of Asian customers - always a very good sign for authentic cuisine! My partner and I are on holiday in Newcastle all the way from Kent, and I'm sure we'll be back, even if just to sample to delights once again of Aneesa's buffet. While we were there, there were 4 birthday parties where the staff made a wonderful effort with happy birthday playing through the speakers, and coming out with a chocolate cake for each birthday-haver, complete with candles, which I noticed the manager re-lit for a girl who didn't get a chance to blow them out. Such attention to detail, manager even took photos of the families at the end.Truly a family, friendly atmosphere. The ONLY complaint I'd have is that it was a little loud in there, and I'm noise sensitive. But that is no poor reflection on the restaurant - merely a sign of how very popular they are there!Would give more than 5 stars if I could :)”

“Having lived in the area for 6 years, I was told by a friend to try Chutney's over the more obvious restaurant on Front Street. I've been missing out for the last 6 years! Fantastic food, really well prepared and perfectly balanced with spice and flavour. Try the salmon to start - you will not be disappointed! . It's become not only my go to restaurant, but the takeaways are high quality too. I'll look forward to my next visit.”
