Had a boozy brunch booked near the start of January (booked and paid in full. £70) however due to train strikes wasn’t able to make the reservation and called to cancel and see if a refund would be possible. Spoke with the manager who informed this wouldn’t be an issue and a full refund would be given by Monday at the latest. (Saturday booking). After much correspondence with booking office and over the phone I have only just gotten my money back from the restaurant having waited a full month now. This was only after repeatedly calling and trying to get an answer. Just go to slug and lettuce you’ll have less grief.

We have visited this bar many of times over the past few years. Pre covid the bar was amazing, we never had a problem getting seated and both enjoyed the quirky vibe. However recently we have been denied entry as they were fully booked and today they could only offer us a table for 45 mins. We took the table and then after 20 mins we were told to move as the next booking had arrived early. Shame that gone are the days you could just turn up to a bar and have a drink. We are most likely unlikely to revisit this bar.

After emails between myself and the booking manager, and paying a £10 deposit to book a table for drinks and food this afternoon, my hubby and I arrived to discover no table had been booked and the restaurant was fully booked.(I emailed to book because that's what you're advised to do on the website.)Spoke with the booking manager in the restaurant and explained he gets 150 emails a day. He's busy.Disappointed as we were really looking forward to experiencing eating here.Perhaps I should have double checked the booking but that would have added to the many emails the booking manager gets...?

Absolutely amazing place to visit! Great atmosphere and thr food was delicious, fresh and so filling! Visit for their Sunday Roast and was blown away by how good it was! This will definitely be a regular place for me now. Staff were friendly snd inviting and was always on hand whenever you needed them!

Me and my friend tried to go in and have a drink. We were dressed nicely, and hadn’t drink anything that night so we were clearly not drunk. The bouncer refused to let us in with a very rude attitude. He judged (and scanned) us from head to toe, made us very uncomfortable. Then he pointed out that we were holding a plastic bag which is not even that big, we got some crisps to take home and we clearly are not planning to eat them there, but because we were holding that bag, we were not ‘allowed’ to go in and have a drink. If you have a clear criteria who is ‘allowed’ to spend money in your bar I suggest you to make that super explicit and put that on a sign in front of your pub! Such a terrible experience.

Attended a hen party in which we had 15 guests and had booked the mezzanine level for bottomless brunch. We were told to arrive promptly however when we got there, the previous party hadn't left and we didn't get into the area for 20 minutes later than the booking time. We were also told on arrival that the food options were not available because the "fryer was broken" and could only choose beef burger, chicken burger or veg burger. When the food arrived, it was fried chicken burger and all meals came with fried fries.... so I presume the frier definitely was working and it was just convenience that we had limited options. The food itself was very plain and rather dry.The drinks were a positive and there were bottles of prosecco flowing constantly, however there was not often a waiter/waitress around if you wanted any other drinks. We did complain on the night and the manager dealt with this as best as possible given the circumstances so I would try going back one day, however the hen party was a bit of a let down due to the issues.

Not sure what we were expecting, but it was ok. Cannot complain as it was a gift.Would we go back - maybe.

My friend and I were greatly disappointed with our visit to this cocktail spot. Despite hearing about the Snapsaver discount, it seems that you need prior bookings to even receive it. Upon our arrival, not a single staff member greeted us or offered any service. The atmosphere was pleasant, but the lack of attention from the staff dampened the experience. Moreover, even though the ambiance was lovely, the fact that there were only three tables in the restaurant didn't justify the lack of service. We settled at a table, but unfortunately, that's where our interaction with the staff ended. It's a shame that such a promising space fell short in terms of customer service. Hoping that they take measures to improve their customer service in the future.

Late night bar. Tucked away off the Granger market upstairs. Fantastic little find . Beautiful inside . Well worth a visit. You won't be disappointed. Chilled out

What a hidden gem this place is, stunning vibes. We booked for 4 people for bottomless brunch for a friends birthday. On the morning of the brunch we were called to let us know there was some electrical issues in the kitchen and asked to arrive 30 mins later. This was no issue at all, when we arrived we were informed that the issue was still on going however this wouldn’t affect us having an unreal afternoon…..they were not wrong. Anthony served us and had everything from food, fizz, cocktails and shots flowing for our full stay. You really made my friends birthday one to remember Anthony and we will definitely be back (to try the Gambas!)
