The Northumbrian pipe has recently reopen under new management it's good to know that this great little pub is still going at the moment they're not serving

We booked a gender reveal party for family and friends months in advance , only to turn up on the day of the event to be told we can’t accommodate the event as we’ve ran out of beer? Sorry but did you not know this party was happening months in advance? We then had to find somewhere to host event without help or support from staff at the Piper and try to contact everyone who was coming! Not a phone call, apology nothing from the manager, What little regard they clearly have of their customers! Absolute Disgrace!!! Wouldn’t recommend at all for events!!! Upstairs room tired , dirty, shabby, ripped mix matched seating, upstairs toilet not in use, lights hanging off walls Do not book function room until you’ve looked at it in person it’s shocking!

Came for a Sunday dinner and were made to wait an hour for our food. We weren’t told the wait would be this long and asked multiple times where our food was. On arrival the meat was dry, the vegetables were raw and the Yorkshire puddings weren’t cooked properly. When the food was brought out to us, we were told we needed to be out within the hour due to people the space reserved. Had we known the waiting time was over an hour we would have went somewhere else to eat. I won’t be returning here. 2 out of the four of us left most of the food.

Staff were great, treat us like locals even though we weren't! Great place will defo be back! (No review on the food but the mother on law's dinner looked unreal!)

Lovely staff, food first rate. A good sized play area for the younglings to run around in

Homely pub serving food, live music, and sports to customers. Staff were very friendly and regulars were welcoming

Very nice Pub just outside Newcastle but looks hidden away in a country setting. Would recommend the steak pie, which was very filling. Good quality beef with no fat. Friendly staff.

Haven’t visited for a while but was pleased to see that nothing had really changed. Lovely atmosphere, clean and plenty seating. Food was excellent and generous portions for the ‘medium’ choice. Staff friendly and helpful. Can recommend (would suggest booking if food is wanted) but nevertheless a pleasant place and worth a visit

It’s Valentine’s Day and popped in here for a lunchtime meal . We had fish chip and peas along with a cup of tea . A little disappointed with the portion of fish it was smaller than I expected for £11.99 . However the meal was nicely cooked and presented and the cup of tea was really nice as well .\\nThe decor is a little drab but it’s clean and the staff friendly . I would come again .

Was my first time visiting and absolutely loved it. Great bar staff, friendly patrons, karaoke was a blast. Will definitely come back when I'm up north :)

Its a quiet pub, hidden away, its a type of pub if you didn't know that it was there could be easily missed. This house used to belong to the Duke of Northumberland at one time in the houses life. That was before it became a public house in the late 1960 early 1970s. I know I was there.
