I was in the shop yesterday and had one of the most disgusting and degrading experiences. Me and my friends had tried the sample from the free hot chocolate stand. I had one cup my friend had one and my other had two. We planned to go back later to get that particular favour hot chocolate and another as well. However, as I left a staff member aggressively raised his voice and said “this is not a soup kitchen, it’s a shop.” As a regular customer who has alone spent hundreds of pounds in there and family and friend who have also spent hundreds in there we are all appalled. I knows what he looked like and could point him out however I won’t be shopping here again and neither will any of my friends or family. Only last week I spent 40 pounds but in future I will use my money somewhere it is deserved and I won’t be unfairly abused by staff. No one should upset customers like that especially as it was so uncalled for. It is a business and I hope he’s realised that it has been damaged and that none of my family or my friends or anyone else I’ve told will be going back there.

Recently went into the store and was greeted by a fantastic assistant who advised me on several purchases, including some amazing Turkish apple tea. I rarely post reviews but I think Abigail is doing phenomenal job and should be commended for it.

Excellent staff, very knowledgeable and patient. I waited almost over 2 years for the Shanghai Chai to come back. This green tea is one of my most favourite, it has a light spice flavour and is very mellow.
First time visiting store. Very nice.Major problem is the two men working were calling a customer when they left. Disgraceful. Sweating and laughing saying these are not my mates. Not what you expect. I'm disgusted

Lovely staff and great shopping experience. Went in, I was asked if I wanted any help, I asked them if they sold a certain product (which they did) and was served instantly. They were so friendly behind the till we had a lovely chat while they were serving me.

Love this small shop in Durham, only place to get the tea set of Alice in Wonderland, which I got my daughter for xmas, sells tea, coffee beans and fantastic various sorts of hot chocolate, I got sticky toffee hot chocolate which is to die for.
