Never the cleanest Sunderland Cafe Nero today was shocking. Two customers feeding their dogs biscuits, and leaving/spreading mess all over the floor. At the same time they opened and ate their own snacks from GREGGS feeding cake to the dogs while drinking Cafe Nero coffee When one of them saw me watching he did pick up all the evidence and put it in the bin but failed to clear up the broken dog biscuits as he trampled the crumbs on the floor. Additionally while the staff cleared tables mess from previous customers was left on the table not cleaned.

This was my first and last visit to this coffee shop. It was totally disorganised with 1 trainee and 1 other member of staff working. The same person took your order, made the sandwiches, took the money and made your drinks. The queue was long and slow and it took about 20 minutes in the queue, which is unacceptable for people on lunch breaks. The actual baguette sandwich was nice but by the time they finished serving and made hot drinks it was cold by the time I got to my table. This was a very poor and disappointing experience and I won't be returning.

Pretty good coffee and tea. There's a loyalty scheme and easy pay with their app. The cronut things are really good if you have a sweet tooth. My biggest gripe is it's a bit devoid of personality and the staff are more concerned about chatting to each other than serving customers or clearing and cleaning, on the days I visited we were in quite early and the place was grotty. The counter is very high and in a narrow corridor, not sure how folk in wheelchairs get on.

Service is always great. I'm pretty confident they often forget to use coconut milk in the coconut iced drink they do as it often lacks a coconut flavour. Good job I'm not vegan or have allergies ?

People working 8/9 days doing all they can yet being treated like trash been going 6 months everyday seen 10 members of staff leave who were all excellent! Underpaid and over worked! The area manger should be fired for being so unprofessionalAppreciate your staff for the hard work they put in! Put me off the brand as a customer who comes everyday unethical in every way
