Sunderland store not the best. Prices are ok(ish), but the wait at the tills are mind numbing. Waited in the queue today for what was an eternity - it took longer to be served at the till than it took for us to shop, with the queue behind us growing longer. Young worker then opened the till behind the already open one, instead of the one adjacent. So, all of the customers just joining the queue could be served before those of us already waiting! Doubtful of a return.

Farmfoods can be a Great Place to get some quality deals on frozen food. If you vary your shopping in a clever way with here, and the local Tesco and B&M, you can get a really cheap weeks shopping. Amazing as a student. Personal favourite is the 3 for £6 on packs of 16 bacon.The place always seems tidy, and is rarely busy, which means most of the time, you shouldn't wait too long. The reason though, the review is 3/5, is because of a few of the times where I have had to wait.The place see seems very short staffed. You'll often complete your shopping, arrive at the tills, and no one will be there. 50% of the time, a worker comes to check your stuff out within a few seconds, which of course is perfect. About 49% of the time, you'll be stood like a melon at the empty till for 1-2 mins before you can spot a worker.The worst though was, when I arrived at the till with my 3 packs of bacon. 3 workers were stood at the till chatting. One behind the counter, one holding a brush and the other with nothing. These 3, who had clearly noticed me waiting at the till, just like ... Looked at me and continued their conversation for about 2 mins before finally moving to let me place the freezing cold items down on the till. I was in a rush, my hands hurt from the cold, wasn't fun. I know 2 mins wait isn't a huge amount of time, but you know, when you've clearly been noticed and clearly ignored so the paid workers can gossip, it's a little frustrating.Sorry for giving off big Karen vibes but like ... You're being paid to work man.Conclusion: Good prices and Deals, a few annoying members of staff. Decent nearly every other time though!

I used to like going here but the food has gone way down over the years you will still find some good deals but the vouchers we use are not acceptable there any more so wont go again and I complained about something years ago found something in some food which wasn't very nice at all and they sent me a £10 voucher that was only acceptable there which is what you expect really.
