Ordered tonight and expected the takeaway to be busy with it being Xmas eve, of course it was and after waiting a couple of hours and unable to get through to the phone line we decided to drive down to the takeaway shop to collect the order (hoping it hadn’t already left the shop). Luckily it didn’t and I was advised by the staff to request a refund for delivery charge which I did when I got home. The shop have refunded me half the price of my food which I was not expecting! The food was amazing and the quality of the food didn’t falter despite how busy they were tonight. Will happily order from here again. Merry Christmas to Ming Garden.

Ordered from here last week we picked it up, the food was delicious and hot, lots of meat and big prawns in the house specials the family enjoyed everything we ordered and the price was very reasonable, our new 'go to' for Chinese would recommend.Vegetarian options: lots of vegetarian options.

Ordered nearly 30 pounds worth of stuff and honestly was a complete joke! Everything was over powered by Chinese five spice everything tasted of aniseed! Ribs were bones and gristle! Salt and pepper chips was mainly Chinese 5 spice. Honestly the worst Chinese I've had in a long time!

This has improved a lot since re-opening. Credit to the owners and the chef! i have been several times since re-opening and the house specials are delicious the meats are trimmed (not like other chinese takeaways!! so thats a big thumbs up from me) probably best in Sunderland in my opinion!!
Have been getting take out from Ming for a number of years after I was introduced to it by friends. The restaurant is now under new management and it would also appear they have revised the recipe to the both the crispy beef and crispy chicken in hot sauce. Both really tasty and huuuuuge portions. A nice treat

Ordered Chinese food as we have many times from this takeaway. Food was absolutely delicious. Not expensive and piping hot. Always good portions. Would recommend this place anytime.

Never received food driver claims has handed it over not to our house not to us Phoning restaurant they say we have recieved not us restaurant owners Driver never knocked on our door or delivered Will take it up with just eat Terrible service Restaurant says we’re to take it up with just eat Never again ming garden you ruined our Saturday evening

Rip off. Gravy was freezing and the two salt and pepper chips where either plain chips mixed with peppers and onions or they just finished rgot and sent plain chips. Never again.

Food not as described, states crispy chicken and it wasn’t. Garlic dish was Tasteless, soup was vile even the smell of it. Curry tasted like plastic. Salt and pepper chips were just normal chips with bucket of salt tipped upside down on them. Order was also late. Food went in the bin- waste of money and still hungry sit Saturday night- thanks mings ?
