Wasnt impressed at all first of all i asked for a coffee and was told we only have instant (which i found unusal as most places tend to have a late or cappuchino) i agreed instant was ok but found it strange i was given a small pot of hot water and 2 sachets of instant coffee to make my own!! I have never had that before at least just make me a coffee and bring it out for me made please. I had the carbonara it was a large bowl with a lot of pasta but it was tasteless and when i asked for parmestan half way through (which it states on the menu you get) i got a tiny paper pot like what you get macdonalds sauce in with a pinch of the cheese in. I am not one to complain and the staff were lovely but i wont be going back sorry

I will not be going back , there was only one option for a vegetarian and that’s poor when so many people are . It was cold and had to sit with my coat and scarf on and it’s winter. Salt pit was rusty on the top and dirty table .

Me and my family have been coming here for years and I usually can't fault it. But after today I'm afraid I won't be back. The food took ages to come out and then when it did the chips looked like they had been warmed up several times. The food was not good. Not sure if it's been took over. Really disappointed!

Went to here before the Sunderland game today.Amazing food as ever. I suggest getting Halloumi fries and the Gammon steak. Nice little pub if you ever visit the best city in the North

Massive Sunday lunch. Almost had to leave some of it. But I loosened my belt and carried on. Plus there's always room for dessert. They let me have cream *and* ice cream with my chocolate fudge cake.
