Family took us to this gem, the Buffett was just enough, first Popadoms light and crispy, the appetizer board that comes before the buffett is a meal on its own.. we ordered to many Nan.. they are big, you can always order more.The Buffett perfect size 2 rice 4 meat dishes and 2 vegetable.. we left very satisfied and happy. Friendly owner and staff..

Having been having fantastic meals for over 30 years what has happened to my favourite place, just had takeaway and we always sit in have a drink whilst waiting, we just waited in a empty restaurant for over an hour to have a cold / slightly warm meal £35 sorry Jamdani but you need to up your game 30 years I’ve loved your food, but never again sorry, 9/1/24 having discussed this with the owner who has offered a complementary meal as a gesture of goodwill and apologised we still may not take him up on his offer this was never about a freebie but the disappointing feeling after all the years of great experiences

Food was ok at most. Lamb chops were meaty but lacking on flavour. Ordered a chicken karahi and it was utterly flavourless, it was like some sort of mush with only 3 small bits of chicken in it.

Food was amazing however, I am not sure waiting over 1 hour for mains is acceptable for a usually fab restaurant. We were a party of 9 that arrived at 7pm and eventually got served our mains at 8.30pm ( we only ordered mains and popadoms). I appreciate there were a few large groups in including ourselves but prioritising take away over customers dining in is poor ( or that’s what it seemed like!). The most disappointing thing was there was no communication from the staff to acknowledge the long wait.

A great evening was had at the Jamdani. We opted to go here for a change to our usual Indian for special occasions just to try somewhere different. We were not let down. A nice welcome into the nice dining area was encountered and we were led to a nicely located table. A vast array of choices on the menu was great to see. Our starters comprised of 2 x bhuna prawn on purees and a chicken tikka, both delicious served on large plates pleasantly displayed. The chicken was particularly tasty, just right. Our mains were a chicken chilli massalla, a monkfish balti curry and a duck curry, all superb in their flavours and spiciness. Very, very nice indeed. The pilau rice and plain naan was also lovely, fluffy hot bread and lovely separate rice . It was nice to see the old fashioned raised heaters were brought to the table to keep our food hot throughout the meals, just a nice touch barely seen in Indian restaurants nowadays. All in all a great night, good waiting on staff and a well run restaurant. No wonder it has stood the test of time and is still delivering great quality food after about 30 years I would guess. We will be back.
