This is a little gem! Highly recommend visiting (though it might be wise to book ahead as it is busy).Service was fantastic, coffee was brilliant and the food amazing and very tasty.

Excellent food and service with a smile. This has to be the friendliest place we've visited. The two staff members were so welcoming. They gave our dogs a free sausage each which was really thoughtful. We had a full English breakfast which was cooked to perfection. Clean tidy and very quirky. Highly recommended.

I've just read AJMcins comment, and my experience was SO similar. The owner was SO rude, with a horrible grimace on his face, obviously DELIGHTED to turn myself and my grandaughter away as he was ''fully booked''.... with empty tables visible everywhere. It was a horrible, humiliating experience, and the owner needs to take himself a LOT less seriously. As my mother would say ''he's far too pleased with himself''! He lacks charm and manners. It's an ok cafe, not much else, so he needs to dial it down a bit. Won't go again, he doesn't deserve it.

Just moved back to the area so time to revisit Jade Leaf. Blast from the past and as excellent as ever!

Thank the lord for TripAdvisor! Found this lovely little place after literally tearing my hair out trying to find somewhere decent to eat in the area! Delightful staff, very polite and thoughtful and really nice food. Proper chicken in my chicken and bacon omelette and a nice salad accompanying (you can have chips if you wish) a mug of tea is a LARGE mug! I loved it! Hubby had fish finger sandwich which he enjoyed and boys and a panini and a toastie and really enjoyed theirs. Clean and well presented, just felt the chairs on our table were a little ‘fragile’ that’s only small negative. Other than that thank you all at Jade Leaf very much. Would come again/recommend ?

Felt peckish on Saturday morning , so called to Jade Leaf for coffee and breakfast . Cafe pretty empty late morning , so able to get table for two . Viewed menu for breakfast options , menu lacks detail , so asked what was difference between large breakfast / small breakfast . Our server kindly advised that large breakfast was bigger - not sure if this was humour or sarcasm . That said we ordered : Drinks of pot of tea and cappuccino were excellent and piping hot . Food was another matter - English breakfast ( £9 ) was standard fayre - plenty on plate but pretty tasteless and a little greasy . More disappointing was Eggs Benedict ( £8 ) - not sure , but appeared to be hard fried eggs ( not poached ) and the sauce was more salad cream than hollandaise . That said , hunger dictated that we finished most of the food . Summary - we arrived late morning and may not have chosen well from the menu . However , food was average at very best , saving grace were the drinks . Would return for coffee and cakes , not so sure for breakfast .

Pop in every now and then for a coffee and occasional slice of cake. Nick and Moira are always very friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere in the cafe is always pleasant. Highly recommended - all of the cafes in town are worth a visit but Jade Leaf always stands out to me due to the friendly and personal service.

Fabulous coffee - strong and full of flavour. Super teacakes. Very friendly atmosphere. Does life get any better? Oh yes - the background music very eclectic.

Good first experience. Nice breakfast sausage sandwich and cup of tea. Bad table service, I got a chair with no table and had to each with the plate of my knee.

Stopped off for breakfast here on our way to Anglesey. Fabulous coffee, prompt friendly service and excellent food. I had a bacon sandwich which was very tasty and my husband had a full English which he said was expertly cooked and full of flavour. Thank you, would recommend highly.
