This place is absolutely terrible, it’s that bad that while all the other pubs in Abergele are busy it’s always empty. Need to replace all the staff and start again.great pub but wrong staff.

Absolutely shocking service. Went in for drinks, granted it was a Monday evening so not many people in. From what I could gather,( I was confused as to which was staff member or customer due to his sloppy track suit attire.)only one bar staff on but seemed more interested in joining his friends for a delivered pizza. Felt our presence was an inconvenience for him. Soon left.

Service was slow took 25 minutes for the food to come out and it was cold and reheated. my burger was pink didn’t eat it won’t be going back and wouldn’t recommend anybody going there for food first and last time for

Food was amazing. Had rib eye steak and it was the best steak I have had in years and it literally melted in my mouth. The only thing I would suggest is more mushrooms as they had so much flavour I wanted more. The whole meal was excellent and the staff were so caring and excellent we will definitely be returning. This will be our new local pub as close to our caravan. Please give our regards to the chef for such a lovely flavoursome meal. We will be back if not 2023 definitely from March2024.

I’m sooooo disappointed. Stumbled across this place just before covid. It was brilliant in every aspect!Sine then we’ve celebrated 60th anniversary, Sunday lunches , drinks and more recently karaoke but we were the only 3. Tonight was dinner for 3. Very limited food choices, dry lasagne , over priced wine despite a discount on the already opened bottle.Young bar member was brilliant, assistant manager was limited to what he could do.I really loved this place, wanted it to succeed and still do…….unfortunately it will be a while before I consider going again

The pub has an offer on at the moment running from Monday to Thursday. Buy one meal and get one free. My husband and I thought we’d give it a try. I ordered the steak and ale pie, tasted more like red wine. Puff pasty top was burnt. Comes with seasonal veg and chips. Had to ask for the veg, which came ten minutes later, which consisted of frozen peas and broccoli. My husband ordered ham, egg and chips, the ham was sliced and out of a Packet. The waitress didn’t know the difference between a dry rose and a merlot. There were three staff on, they all congregated with their friends over to the right of the bar. Observed staff rolling cigarettes, not a good look and very unprofessional. Will not be visiting again.

Food absolutely lovely but…. Been previously and was nice so booked table for family inc. younger children, arrived and nothing prepared so 2 dirty tables were pushed together sat down got sprayed with cleaner , order taken by a pleasant lady but not sure whether she worked there - dressed in tracksuit & t-shirt ? Very rowdy place with lad’s swearing and shouting ( doesn’t bother me but not nice in front of children?) …the food was absolutely lovely and we all enjoyed everything - we had to ask for cutlery and condiments after the food arrived which was annoying .. everything seemed focused on the crowd of lads , we had planned to stay and have a few drinks after the food but we left asap. Would I go back ? - maybe - because the food was nice, but not with children

We visited as a group of 4 friends. Our waitress was friendly and courteous. Unfortuneately, there was a piece of hard plastic in my chicken curry, the chef did attend our table and apologised. The atmoshpere was spoilt because it was more of an after school club with screaming toddlers, feet on table, and there for the evening. We had thought, being under new mamagement, this was the place to go to for local people. The average tasting bottle of wine cost £20 and not of a decent quality. We’ll be going elsewhere.

Absolutely no atmosphere no background music nothing. The manager...,? Was unresponsive when asked anything. The place is very clean, they served our food on nice dishes however it was warm food. A couple of guests felt the same I'm sure as they were talking quietly as you could hear a pin drop. They need a visit from Gordon...
