Very cosy, charming country pub. We went for lunch NY day and so it was understandably very busy. The service was lovey, but the food did take over an hour to come out. The chicken pie was delicious but not a sign of the gammon or leek as described, - that said, it was very good. The place is dog friendly on specific tables and it had a good vibe. I fully undertand the wait as it was packed. We will be back. Thank you

Fabulous meal last week. Jamón croquettes to start which were fantastic, rolled belly of pork with mash and mustard sauce which was one of the best pork dishes I've eaten, followed by a rhubarb and apple crumble. Very good gastro pub lunch complimented by a nice pint by the fire afterwards.

Good food, good service, but I didn't like the 10% service charge added. I prefer to decide how much tip I would like to give.
Beautiful rustic thatched pub with lovely atmosphere and great food. This was my first visit and I was pleasantly surprised after my daughter booked a table last minute. Menu was extensive but we all had great meals, from vegan dishes to my lamb 3 ways, which I have say exceeded all expectations. Beer range not massive but ok. I would imagine in the summer it would be equally beautiful with good outside area and quaint hamlet. Definitely worth the visit

Perfect cosy little pub, nice surrounding walls. Small cosy restaurant with great service and really good food options. Vegan / vegetarian dishes are really good with multiple delicious options.

Brilliant oldy-worldy vibe in this cosy pub and gastro eatery. Having spent many an enjoyable time here I can thoroughly recommend a visit.

Four of us dined. The starters were ok but a bit pricey. The steak and Guinness pies were nice but the veg was very ordinary, carrot and broccoli. The one carrot was huge(6oz maybe?) and looked so out of place and so unprofessional it gave the impression the chef had no presentation skills and couldn’t care less. The “tartare sauce” contained what looked like bits of red pepper and wasn’t creamy enough and didn’t taste nice. The fish didn’t seem fresh and the batter was hard on the one side it was not edible. Overall poor quality food for inflated prices. We won’t be going back.Parking: We arrived in the dark and had to use the customer parking behind the pub. It was muddy with potholes and no lighting- we had to use our mobile phones to see where we were going
