The waitress service for food and drink to the table was poor, I had to go to the bar many times to ask for table service.This is not the fault of the staff, they were rushing around trying to cope, the problem was that there were far to few staff for the amount of customers.Parking: Large car park, plenty of spaces.

Check in was easy. Young girl was polite and friendly. Room was spotlessly clean (I’m very fussy) Mattress and pillows were so comfortable. Everything we needed was there with coffe milk and sugar too. Even the kettle was immaculate. We had a meal in the evening and it was delicious! Cooked to perfection and Jess served us and she was amazing! She was very efficient and so friendly - a pleasure to be served by someone like her!

Can't say I expected much being a generic pub chain. And, to be honest, the food and atmosphere etc was probably worth a four star. However, one of the lovely ladies there, Jess, was enough to upgrade our visit to a five. She was incredible - welcomed us lovely, checked what we needed, checked in after we'd been served but not excessively. She went above and beyond to make sure our visit was excellent.

overpriced food , pie was dreadful all pastry chicken and mushroom were tiny amounts half of a carrot and mash , when on menu states chips, did tell waitress who said it came with mash, showed her the menu and she did return with a small dish of chips, by which time we had eaten our food, would not return .

Called in on the off chance they had availability for two and was told they did. It wasn't particularly busy and we were asked to wait in the bar area while tables were cleared in the resturant area. We waited 20 minutes and felt totally forgotten. Nobody asked if we wanted drinks or came to take us to a table. So we up and left.

Visited this past weekend and was very impressed with the food. Service was okay however when our main arrived the waitress dumped the food on the table and never asked if we required any sauces or extra gravy etc as they just rushed off. We then asked for extra gravy and it never arrived although the one waiter did appologise at the end of the meal. Overall though I would strongly recommend for a reasonably priced Sunday roast which had lots of choice of veg as well as having a Yorkshire pudding with each meat ?
