Whilst in Aberystwyth taking my daughter to the University open day (this was back in July 2023) I decided to check out the local Fish and Chips - and decided on here due to the top rating in the area.Order standard cod and chips and found it to be just as many people on their reviews stated: great tasting, meaty pieces of cod and with batter not too crispy but not soggy either (people who claim soggy batter really need to be aware if it is wrapped or placed on top of the chips the heat will make it soggy!)The chips were just right and done to ensure golden crisp and soft fluffy potato inside.Yes many people who visit Aberystwyth might venture straight to the town, park up and make do with the nearest fish and chip takeaway. But I will recommend everyone to actually stop off here before you go into the town - that or take a short trip here to get a good tasty and reasonable priced fish and chips.

purchased fish and chips and chicken and chips in the last 2 weeks. The fish batter was soggy and the chips cold. A week later the chicken over cooked and the chips soggy as if they had been left over from the night before and reheated. they want to send staff to be trained at Hennighans in Machynlleth.
Food was fine but we were short of one fish annoying when you've travelled the 4 miles home ..and for that we will not be using again ..if there's no trust there's no love....sort it out guys.. to much confusion and pre occupied with taking your money....

Poor service. Got home 6 miles away to finde what we orderd was not all there ... missing bag of chips missing sausages a single burger instead of a doubble and it was over cooked . And yes we all like salt on our chips but not the whole pot awful amount of salt on the chips that we actually had . won't be going back. Standards have dropped hear !!
