This was a real gem of a place to find after the Hotel we stayed at had no tables available.Nestled away in a sleepy Welsh hamlet. The outside felt like we were at a real local pub. Entering through the lobby into the restaurant area blew us away with a real upmarket feel which set the tone for the best meal I've had in ages! Food was good as you'd find in the West end of London with exceptional tastes and flavours. Having all three courses and feeling satisfied and well fed. Hats off to the chef and the owner and hope they can make this a renowned place to visit for a top notch meal.

Always a warm friendly atmosphere at Y Ffarmers. Very clean and welcoming. The perfect place for a function or just for a traditional country pub meal.

We had travelled to Wales for my friend's 40th birthday. The lady who served us was rude, and everything seemed too much trouble for her. Also, the vegetarian options were dreadful. 2 leathery mushrooms stuck together and deep fried until inedible is not a musroom Kiev, didn't taste like it was made on the premises more like an item they had found at the back of the frezzer. My friends who had the meat were very happy with their meals. It would have been nice to have a fish option on the menu.

Food was delicious, I had the Hake with couscous it was perfectly cooked and lots of lovely flavour added to the couscous. Crumble for desert, the custard was made with vanilla pods, not powdered or from a tin. Again delicious.Vegetarian options: My husband is vegetarian and he was impressed with the choice available.

What a gem of a find. Definitely recommend the food was delicious and the staff were amazing and so helpful. If we are ever this way visiting the area will definitely be back!Vegetarian options: Something different from the run of the mill. I had Arapas Columbian Cornbreads with pickles, black beans etc. Spicy, flavorful and delicious.

Y Ffarmers is a gem of a pub. With a great selection of beers and spirits, fantastically cooked food and very friendly staff. I would recommend booking a table in advance, though, as it can get booked up.

Our first visit here since the refurb. What a transformation it is now its much bigger than before plus a more modern feel to the place. We decided to try this again as we have holiday home in the area. The location is very quaint which is set in rolling countryside on the outskirts of Aberystwyth. We fancied their roast menu as this offered all the meats including lamb which were all locally sourced. We both ordered the lamb roast which was cooked to perfection. The staff were very welcoming too which is nice.
