What an amazing find! Unless you walk the coastal path, or drive up an unmade road, you will miss this gem of a pub. Full of character, very friendly staff and a menu I can't imagine you will see anywhere else. Visit you will not be disappointed!

Three of us visited on a late Saturday afternoon for food. After visiting their incredible beach shack a couple of years ago, we were excited to try this out, as I grew up in the area. Unfortunately the food and service were incredibly disappointing. I won't go through all the details, but £16 for an over-cooked, tasteless burger (and no chips, they're extra) is absurd...even by London standards. The staff had an air of nonchalant arrogance to them too - we didn't really ever feel that welcome, even though the restaurant was practically empty. Sadly I really can't recommend. Shame.

We walked the coast path from West Angle Bay on a sunny, blustery December day, specifically to end up at this fabulous, cosy, dog friendly pub for a light bite. On our arrival, absolutely massive, gorgeous looking Sunday dinners were being served but we were hoping to have something a bit smaller from the Cafe Mor menu which a staff member advised was not being served.Disappointed, we prepared to leave and told a different, female member of staff we were reluctantly leaving in search of a smaller bite. This lovely lady could not do enough for us. She immediately offered to prepare something from the cafe menu and we very thankfully took our coats back off and snuggled back into our seats. We ordered two burgers (meat and veggie) and a crab sandwich with two chips to share between the 3 of us.What arrived were 3 of the biggest sandwiches I have ever eaten, served in the softest, most delicious home made foccacia bread, with perfectly cooked crispy chips and all the lovely sauces. I'm not sure about a "light bite", I almost killed myself trying to eat it, but I have no regrets. ?The crab sandwich was the fullest crab sandwich I have eaten anywhere, and my sister loved the veggie burger(she is not easy to please on the VB front). My partner's beefburger was as lovely as always.Afterwards, on learning it was my birthday, out come the lovely staff member with a delicious chocolate cake to finish. I was so full I had to take it home with me and devour it with a cuppa much much much later, but the kind gesture was very appreciated and the whole experience and great service by the lady made our day.If she reads this review then I want to say again, thank you very much. We will definitely be back

Eat and drink here because the location is fabulous, the food is excellent and the service is warm, charming and makes you want to come back again. We had lamb shoulder, chocolate tort with Barti rum and excellent local Sir Gallahad beer. Courtney, our waitress, was a star ⭐

2 days ago, during a local walk, we stopped for a drink at the old point . Not our normal stop off . A very popular pub but if its for a hot drink, we can't imagine why! . 2 lattes , which were luke warm at best, in cups and 2 thirds froth ( here comes the best bit) ...... £9.00 !! Come on guys, stop ripping the customer off !! £6.40 anywhere else and with a much better view than Valero if that's your reason for the outrageous price .

A hidden gem! Down a seaweed laden and uneven road lies this little beauty. A warm and cosy atmosphere, serving the freshest oysters around (quite literally caught less than an hour before they reached my plate).Excellent food, scrumptious desserts and a friendly feel. Definitely worth coming out of your way to come. Book a table to avoid disappointment!

What great, super friendly pub.We absolutely loved everything we ate, a lot of thought had gone into the menu.Haddock and seaweed cakes that were so light on a bed of homous,Focaccia, a pint of prawns, catch of the day with salad and amazing chips and the crab and seaweed pasta. Also a good selection of non-alcoholic beers. With the drinks we were pleasantly surprised at how reasonable the bill was.If we weren't on holiday and lived nearby this would be a local for us.

Lovely visit during our holiday. Fantastic evening meal with great service. Price less than some other places in the area with a good reputation. Dogs allowed inside, decide for yourself if this is a good thing.

What a fabulous meal at the Old Point House. Thanks to Tom for a warm and friendly welcome and looking after us so well during our meal. Lovely to meet the Chef Charlie who we could thank for the wonderful food which all 6 of us really enjoyed. Really great menu. This has started our stay in Angle with a bang. Cannot recommend highly enough.

First time at the restaurant having used Cafe Mor many times at Freshwater West and Angle. With storm Agnes going on outside we were welcomed warmly, quickly seated and drinks organised. The menu follows mainly the Cafe Mor theme, ie fresh from the ocean however other options were available. Great sized portions, first class presentation delivered informatively by people that clearly loved the dinner menu and took pride in making sure you were well informed as to their creations. My only regret was too full to sample the desert menu so next time may share a starter and make it to the deserts. The view out the window at the storm was a treat as well. As Arnie says- We will be back

Went yesterday and was very disppointed . Service is unfriendly ( with exception of one ) . Staff also need training . Asked young man if they had a specials menu and he said he had no idea what we meant . He needs better training . Everything has seaweed in it so if you’re not a fan , avoid. The seaweed should be optional not on every part of every bit of plate ie salad , chips , fish , burger etc No ketchup nor mayonnaise . Was expecting a decent bowl of soup or autumnal stew but sadly nothing like that on menu . It’s also expensive (£80 for 3 ) . Perhaps the owner has taken his finger off the pulse . Needs an urgent rethink or else it will lose customers quickly . One other point ….table not clean and neither were condiments ☹️

It was quite the trek to get there but we'll worth the trip! Not only are there spectacular views, but the food is excellent with well served real ales. Crab roll was delicious, packed full of meat. The Point House burger was quite filling and the Seaweed Focaccia was light and fluffy. Great for families.

Wonderful fresh seafood prepared brilliantly. Warm welcoming staff and great booze. Just wish I’d remembered to buy a bottle of kelpchup!

Some of the best food I have eaten, nothing was too much trouble and the atmosphere welcoming. I ordered Bream with a pickled salad, chips etc. my Wife ordered the Burger, whilst waiting with a Coffee they brought us a sample of Humous and Focaccia, which was outstanding. My Bream was perfectly cooked and tasted as only the freshest fish does, the salad was Devine. The Burger had everything in it, the Beef had Seaweed mixed in, which gave it a more savoury taste, really good. They brought us a tester of their Kelpchup, it went with everything. We were so impressed we came away with a selection of goodies to try out at home, including the Kelpchup.
