We came in with friends and their 9 year old daughter. We are locals and would like this pub to improve so we can enjoy visiting again!Our meal was extremely disappointing:My chicken burger was dry with no salad despite the menu saying iceberg lettuce, and no burger sauce. When the meal was sent back my sweet potato fries went cold and not warmed up. It came back out with some mixed salad on (still not what was advertised)The pizza had a small hair on, a member staff came back with the same pizza and told us the chef said it wasn’t a hair it was cheese! We pointed it out and they made a fresh one.Halloumi fries had no piri dip and when we pointed that out they came with a jug of salsa.The two cowboy burgers had no lettuce on and a tiny bit of bacon and no burger sauceI would like to praise and thank Maz who provided wonderful customer service throughout our visit and couldn’t do enough to make things better. She was extremely apologetic and spent time chatting to our friend’s daughter whose pizza had to be remade offering a free desert and brought her a free lemonade. Maz is always polite and friendly, a credit to your staff! We asked for her name so we could let you know.I would like to say that the decor is the pub is getting really tatty, there is a big hole in the wall by the pool table.A panel under the urial's is missing, the window ledges have chewing gum stuck to them and covered in thick mould.I’m sorry I’ve felt the need to complain but we’ve always liked it here, it’s very handy for us and it’s a shame to see it going downhill.

Today was mother's day so my family took me out for food, I was disgusted we waited 2 hours for our food which wasn't even warm,and when my husband asked staff we was just told it will be out soon we are very busy and behind, I normally book on a regular basis but I can honestly say I will not be

On arrival, we were told there was a 30-minute wait for food as a large table had walked in. 40 minutes later, we were told with a smile. No, I said 40 minutes. Unfortunately, the kitchen is behind to a large walk-in. How would the cope if it was actually busy?!?! We were then served with this, I've had bigger chicken strips at KFC. Needless to say, we won't be returning.

We booked a table last night for four people, Friends travelled from Cardiff for a catch up, when we arrived we were told that weren't any available tables as our booking hadn't gone through due to a systems problem. Just because your booking has been confirmed don't presume that you will have a table !!! Turned out for the best, had a wonderful meal at the pub around the corner !!

The restaurant was mid-range busy, but there was no one around to seat us initially, eventually we caught the attention of a waitress, possibly because i was sat in my wheelchair looking lost. She eventually located our reserved table (in the family area, right next to a table of incredibly noisy adults and children). My wife waited an eternity at the bar as most of the staff appeared to be chatting. We waited over 30 mins for our food and when it came it was not pleasing. The portions of chips were miniscule, the mushy peas and onion rings were cold, the steak looked like it had been run over, the steak meal was missing grilled tomato and mushrooms and my kebab had three average sized pieces of chicken in it. We asked about the missing tomato and it arrived just before the end of the meal. We hesitatingly ordered desserts and the rocky road sundae was dumped in a bowl and whilst that and the banoffee pie was eaten my father in law waited for his apple crumble, I asked about it and it finally arrived as everyone else finished. In general the food tasted ok, but the service was appalling and I couldn't sit properly at the table because my wheelchair wouldn't fit (I mentioned I was a wheelchair user in my original booking).

We only booked because I was sent a discount code. The last time we ate there, my husbands steak was inedible. This time the food was actually much better. Although my 5 year old daughter did ask me why the toilet area was dirty. And yes it did need a good clean. The walls, the sinks, the floor. Even there was dried sick streaks on the back of the toilet lid. ?

Excellent service from a lady called Maz today. We were visiting to celebrate my brother's birthday. Nothing was too much trouble, it was refreshing to be served by someone with a 'can do' attitude and is happy in her work, thank you. The vegetable Thai curry was very tasty too and the meal was good value.Wheelchair accessibility: easy wheelchair access, large space around tables

Had a great night at last Saturdays Karaoke night, lots of fun! Loved seeing kids singing and rapping, having a great time with their family.Great atmosphere and cocktails were delicious. Shout out to Caitlyn and the rest of the team. Well done. Looking forward to the next one.
