I shouldn't have listened to the good reviews on here. Food isn't that great. Went in for me and my gf and left with no money, stodgy chips and soggy and way too greasy fish in batter. That's just when I left. Want to feel bad leaving a place of business go here. The customer service was so rude. I dont think I've ever encountered such a bad atmosphere in that type of setting. Non schalant attitude from male staff serving me, he should of just said "f*** off", it would have been easier.

Absolutely disgusting. I buy a small bag of chips 1-2 per week. Everytime I buy a large, it's almost the same as a small. I share a small chips between two of us and its fine, there's some left over but when I want a large chips for when an extra person is over its smaller, even though I've ordered a large! I've been left with less than a handful of chips. It sounds silly but it's clearly them taking the pi**. Now the sauces have become smaller due to smaller tubs. As a long term customer I've kept 1 of the old tubs and tested it. It's smaller!... but the same price. Genuinely do not know, for the life of me, why people think its the greatest chippy going. I live a few streets over so as a regular customer, just know...they're ripping you off.

Only had drinks as it's under new management. Lovely view. Amazing view of Bristol channel. The atmosphere is just amazing and Bas and rest of the staff are really friendly. There is a skittle room downstairs. Locals are also really friendly.

This place lovingly prepares, handles and presents your food with attention to detail. The fish is succulent and the batter is light and crispy. Everything I’ve ordered here from battered sausages, to curry sauce has been spectacular. Tastes fresh every time. Staff and drivers are lovely. 5 stars.

Very slow delivery, ordered from the Master Fryer App. (Just under an hour for chips, burger, pie and fishcake) The Victoria park pie was obviously microwaved and all of the pastry was soggy. It was already inedible, but what made it worse was the long hair on it. (It went straight in the bin) I like the master fryer normally, but the quality of the food recently has definitely gone downhill.

Avoid this place like the plague. I placed an order with them for 2 fish and one bag of chips., nothing too complicated. Nearly 2 hours later and frantically trying to get through to them on the phone I managed to get an answer, the first person couldn’t find my order so she passed the phone to someone else, he asked the address and when I told him he just said ‘yeah that’s out for delivery’ no apologies for being nearly 2 hours late.

Food was very nice but the customer service was abrupt and bordering on rude. I would go again because the food was decent but I wouldn't expect service with a smile.

We were let down by chippies at Barry Island so looked elsewhere. I generally dislike 'Jack of all trades' takeaways and would normally have walked past this place. Then we were pleasantly surprised! Great fish & chips, huge portions and very fair prices. Our decision to eat from this takeaway was informed by the displayed food hygiene rating of 4/5 (Good).
