Great hotel with a Great restaurant in a quiet side road, close to my work area, Clean Room and halls, plenty of parking. when I arrived I had difficulties go get in but they were very prompt to help me. Looks renovated recently. Does not have A/C (at least the room I had). Definitely would stay there again.

The Roost is a gorgeous cosy pub and restaurant. Very friendly, warm and welcoming hosts. We stayed one night in Room Pheasant, which is immaculate with lovely extra touches. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was very powerful and the complementary toiletries are lovely. The room had a coffee machine as well as a kettle. We would definitely stay here again.

A little gem of a place that left a big impact! I stayed here with friends to celebrate my 50th birthday, our room was adorable! Very spaceous and comfortable. The decor is very relaxing and homely. It was lovely to wake up to the birds singing. The food, WOW! It was fantastically presented, it tasted wonderful. The white chocolate cheesecake, left me speechless! I would highly recommend the food here….you must go! Jo & Andrew could not do enough to ensure we felt welcome. The chef, Jordan is one of a kind! An absolute pleasure to meet you! We will definitely come back, in fact I can’t wait to book a table for Sunday lunch! Thank you to Jo, Andrew and the team.

You can't fault the food but it was cold every person in our party of 8 said the same. Cold plates & cold food for everybody's main course. Nice people good service.

Excellent hosts, young, keen and hardworking staff. The food was excellent, plentiful, wholesome and really tasty. The room we stayed in was comfortable, comfy bed, pleat of room and very clean. The only but missing was the teabag choice in the room the limited. Why no green tea and only English breakfast? The entry system is well thought out and hassle free. We will return!

We visited for a date night and ended up making a reservation for my wife’s birthday. Why? Because the food, the service and the atmosphere were second to none. So, in my usual style here is the good, the bad, and the ugly of the Roost of Rock Road The Bad and the Ugly. I can only offer one improvement - better outdoor lighting as you approach the entrance. It is quite dark. That is it. There is nothing negative I can say about this pub. The Good Stunningly decorated in a style that mixes modern and traditional - this pub shines. But the real good here is the people and what they do. Joanne and Andrew are exceptional hosts who take a real interest in patrons. They say tone from the top matters and it really does, all the staff are happy and engaging. We ate in the restaurant and were truly impressed. Jordan worked his magic and produced a stunning menu cooked to perfection. The toasted mackerel and the lamb main were without compare. Every morsel complemented the others on the plate. Amazing food at a fair price, making for an exceptional night out We were served by Sophia, a bubbly, friendly and helpful waitress who made our night a delight. She like all the staff worked her socks off but took it all in her stride. Tonight Niamh also served us and it is easy to see why she is the longest serving waitress on the pub. Once again, engaging, smiling and wonderfully helpful. To all of you, sincere thanks. To the 200,000 of you who read my reviews this is a place worth a visit.
