An old pub in Barry, nicely laid out with large bar. Probably a lot busier at certain times. Even so quite noisy from the punters. Food and drink good value, hot and arrived in very quick time using the app. Please with portion size .

Absolutely stunning looking pub inside. Place was packed and table service was quick and efficient.Food came piping hot and fast, added bonus it serves till 11pm which most spoons stop at 9 so made for an extra treat having food and drinks much later on than the usual cut off

Sat at a table which was still messy after last customers, but so was every other free table. Ask a member of staff if she could clean it, and was told she was busy at the moment but would get someone to do it, which was fair enough, but still not cleaned after 15min, so spotted a female manager clearing tables and asked very politely if we could have our table cleaned please, to which her reply was very rude "I'm doing the best I can you will have to wait". Now I know it can be busy but still a smile and politeness would have went a long way and not be made to feel like an inconvenience.

Came here on match day to see Wales play and the atmosphere was amazing.Even though understandably busy, the staff were brilliant and food was served with only minimal delay. Definitely will be going here again!

As a support member I was appalled at the lack of understanding of individual needs. Everyone has the same right to address a problem respectfully, the scenario was of a factual situation that made me not only concerned for vulnerable individuals but the lack of respect for human rights which has left me upset and frustrated. So here goes…… on a positive note myself and two individuals Looked forward to breakfast here, learning independence and the right to be socially acceptable by ordering and paying for their own choices. However as I observed…… both breakfast weren’t quite in order for example….. cold beans, bacon and eggs so over done they were hard to swallow, which was a physical problem for one member. Whilst I encouraged my supportive individuals respectfully identify the issues with staff, after many appreciative attempts to correct the errors the breakfast was fortunately completed. However when my supported individuals wanted to relay their experiences we were met by rude hostile manager named Amanda. She said my individuals were calling her a liar when no such word was said. She didn’t appreciate are feedback and eventually I politely suggested we leave as it was an upsetting site for both individuals who should be seen an heard equally in society. I personally feel sorry for the manager as my individuals have more respect and maturity then she’ll ever have. I’m willing to work with her on normal skills if she so chooses so

I visited here, earlier this year, the pub is much bigger than it looks , nice atmosphere, I had the vegetarian burger and wine , both were really good, decent food at a decent price in a nice area. Will go back again next time I’m in Barry.

Visited on a Thursday. Curry night. Fantastic value for money for what you get. Service is very quick, but that is all you get. Busy for a Thursdays evening but still didn't have to wait long.

If there was ever a Book of 'Quaint' Weatherspoons, then this venue would have it's own chapter. Called in for a breakfast and was greeted by a calm, sociable ambience of fellow breakfast eaters and morning pint enthusiasts. Staff were friendly and food was prompt. Little to no evidence anywhere that the room had hosted a few hundred merry patrons the night before. No funky smells (sometimes associated unfairly with such establishments) which was an added bonus. Would frequent again ??

I was utterly disgusted with the final way my little brother and I were treated last night. My brother has Asperger's syndrome (autism) and severe OCD, so eating a meal and drinking his drink in a public place is stressful and something that takes him a lot longer than others. I understand that we overstayed and needed to be hurried/asked to leave, but after I explained to one understanding doorman and a seemingly understanding guy who works in the pub we were then intimidatingly stared at by a different doorman and told nastily they didn't give a s*** and to get out now. All my brother wanted to do was down his drink without being stared at which would of taken no more than 30 seconds. Also his original food order was wrong so he went back to the bar to change it himself and that added on at least another half hour to what we would of been. Disgusting service from those who were rude. And I'm annoyed I didn't catch their names because they were VILE bullies, especially the rude doorman’s. Our night was ruined and my poor brother was left upset and frustrated with the fowl way we were treated. This was our first time eating out since before lockdown, and now his confidence has taken a huge knock. He actually asked me why people are so horrible and don’t understand him, and it breaks my heart how this has affected him. We will Not be coming here again!

Went as a couple, 2 steaks ordered, one well done other medium. They arrived and the well done steak was red, I took it back and waited for my steak to be cooked by the time it arrived my wife had already finished her meal. I went back and complained, manager very unprofessional, I stated we came as a couple to have a meal together and not eat individually. As a gesture of good will they gave me a full refund.

Horrid food...... for the 1st time in many years i walked away from my meal along with my wife, we had the 6oz american burger, what arrived was a pathetic cheap thing. The accompanying drink of lemonade tasted like a fizzy river taff. i understand that there can be a higher staff turnover but this is about the quality of the food, not the service of the staff as they were friendly enough, so if you want an alcoholic drink you should be ok.

A really nice place, food was really nice and service didn't take to long at all. we had extra drinks which yet again service was a reasonable wait time.Kid-friendliness: some children was in the pub with there parents having a meal.
