Absolutely superb dinner at Junction 28 last evening. Every dish a delight! Just really really great food and excellent value. The evening was much enhanced by the friendly and professional service of the Manager who made us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Great evening. Definitely my new ‘go to’ local restaurant. Thank you.

Had a great meal here whilst staying near Cardiff for the rugby with my GF. Food was amazing sirloin steak cooked to perfection, the converted train carriage we ate in was very quirky but nice experience. I also like they have a lounge waiting area where you can have a drink until the table ia ready. Staff were great, friendly, attentive, would definitely dine here again if im back in the area. ?

Went for a family meal on Mothers Day. The place was a lovely restaurant and very busy. There was excellent customer service and great portions. Unfortunately, the starter and main food was only just warm and the Pork and Beef were not very tender, the two other meals of Roast Chicken Breast were tasty but again only just warm. All desserts were very nice. The disable toilet had no soap in the dispenser and there was no hand drying facility. On the second visit to the toilet nothing had been done despite having reported it previously. Will we be back ? - I'm not sure.Parking: Parking was available immediately outside the restaurant.

Very busy restaurant with helpful staff and a pleasant atmosphere. Plenty of choice on the menu to suit all, catering for any intolerances. Great portions, I had the scallops to start and Chicken burger both very good. Would recommend.

This is not the place you will discover by chance. I thought I knew the area well, but a friend told me about it, for which I'm grateful. Outside gives few clues to it's former use, besides the road name. Old mid century railway station. Interior is a little stark and I would have liked to see a theme, perhaps railway related? Perhaps blown up b+w pics or wall coverings harking back to its past. Colourised railway pics would be great too.Online table reservation relatively easy. Service was perfect .THE FOOD. Every dish was fantastic, every mouthful a delight. Even simple sounding dishes were perfect. The a la carte menu was quite long, making me think it would be a nightmare to have all fresh produce. However, I picked the scallops, black pudding and samphire starter and the taste and textures were divine. Sides offered with the beef stroganoff ( from the set menu) were unnecessary and should have been Indian in origin.Presentation, taste and quality of every dish was next level. The food overall was exceptional and clearly shows the difference between having a chef and his team and using a cook.Of course this is reflected in the price, which to me seemed reasonable and worth every penny.Didn't have any desserts as we could only take so much excitement in one sitting. That will be next time, plus I want to sit in the dining carriage which I only discovered as I was leaving.

Went to junction 28 for a family Meal on a Saturday evening, the place was very busy and we were served our starters relatively quickly however there was a significant wait for our main course, but we were offered a round of drinks as a good gesture for the inconvenience. The waiter later later came back after we had finished our mains and also offered us free deserts due to the fact that we had to wait, all in all we were happy with the experience of eating here and would recommend junction 28.The manager that delt with us was very good and could not do enough for us tbf and interacted with the customers very well.

Parking: Very delicious food, forest flavours, like a real home made food, you feel as a guest in restaurant not as a client. Thank you.

Had a decent Sunday lunch here today - roasties, veg and gravy were lovely, albeit slightly basic veg for the price (boiled peas, carrots and brocolli). The meat was pretty good - I ordered beef, and was pleasantly surprised to be asked how I wanted it cooked (medium rare) - but every bit of beef I saw was cooked the same way (well done), so why bother asking ?‍♀️ it was still quite tender though. The apple and rhubarb crumble was weird, a bit like warm trifle. Wouldn't personally order that again.

Visited the restaurant on many occasions and service and food have been fine however, on this visit it was poor. Visited on a Sunday, the food wasn’t great. Gravy was already placed on plates even though some people don’t like gravy. Small selection of vegetable, food could haven been warmer. One of our guest had cod which was very over cooked. Whilst starters came out relatively quickly (the soup was nice) seafood linguine was poor, we had a big gap before main meals arrived. The wait staff started off very good but then we had to chase them to clear the table (stood around talking to each other, other tables where not cleared down). Cheese boards were ok, tiramisu very sweet. Not sure what’s happened but the food quality wasn’t as good as it normally is.
