My brother and I had a pretty good time, here, although brief, we left pretty impressed. The bar staff were very friendly and the drinks/food was quite good bang for buck. Plus they have a PRO dartboard ?

First time being here, on a cold wintery afternoon! But we sat outside because the sun was out a few hours earlier and we got over excited! Garden is massive and really nice, I was viewing it through "summer eyes" and I imagine it be lovely.The rugby was on England vs Wales (and I'm English woops!) And it wasn't too packed which was nice to see actually, just enough that the atmosphere was good.Really great drinks offers, we got suitably tipsy and didn't become broke! Maybe because it was slightly busy, but the ordering from the app took a very long time, waiting for 25 min for one of our drinks, and on the way to the loo, I saw our drinks on the side so they were ready, just waiting. Anyway it was fine, when I got back and they'd been delivered to the table. I wasn't keen on the long island iced tea (usually my favourite) but very aware this is a pub not a coctail bar! Ended up on rum and coke - very reasonably priced :)Can't comment on food as I didn't eat here.I look forward to coming back in the summer!

Used to be a go to spot for us, now somewhere definitely to avoid. 15/16 year olds being served, kids running around at 9/10pm inside, outside tables plagued with cigarette butts and empty glasses. Really really sad, seems to just cater to oldies wanting a Sunday

Well done to the Manager and staff just popped in to the T/A Bassaleg for a quick drink.freezing outside but warm inside bar staff really friendly and welcoming, and nice to see how clean it was, didn’t eat today but will be back soon as my wife and I overheard a couple say how nice their meal was, nice to see my old local of many years come back to life again. Well Done
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE add curtains or blinds to the bar side of the pub, say on the stools and the car headlights are blinding as they come up the hill.

This has become our local, although we are from caerphilly. Perfect for relaxing, chilled atmosphere, lovely staff, and elle the dog. Food is great and good value.
