Bought 3 meals here. Very nice cod. Nice fruity curry. Pies were good. Fair price all round and excellent friendly

Pros:Staff were friendly and payment method and ordering system were a clever way of ordering our food.Cons:Unfortunately to my displeasure the portion size was quite small although we ordered a regular amount of chips. After ordering you wait outside with your only means of warmth a receipt hot out the printer. You wait for the TV to show your number and collect your food.Although the food was tasty sadly the portion size needs to up its game to receive more stars in the future.

Great fish n chips. Recomend ordering ahead on the app as a huge queue. And they have 1 person serving via a mcdonalds style system.... very odd for a chippy. They have a self service unit... but it's in the way and you only spot it once almost being served. Friendly staff, but very busy and a poor setup. Good food.

Consistently amazing fish and chips.Amazing portion sizes, with the right amount of salt and pepper added. The Fish and chips with gravy is unrivalled.Prices are a bit steep but what you get for it definitely makes it worth while.Obviously well established and in prime location too, with the majority of the beach goers buying from here after their days at Benllech Beach. The queues are usually very long around peak times, so getting there early can help prevent a long wait.We usually take our food to nearby Red Wharf Bay and enjoy it with the scenic view of the sunset over the sea.A firm family favourite and part of our day trip tradition

Great fish and chips. The queue was a good sign to start, a really good ordering system, although I have never had so much anxiety as to whether my number was next ?.The fish was well cooked and light batter and chips were delicious.Parking: Parking is a bit tricky as double yellows outside. There are a couple of parking places nearby (just a short walk)

After reading the reviews, and noting this was in “Top 50” fish and chips, i added a stop here on our holiday to North Wales. We ordered online at 6pm - the next slot was 19:20 pick up - so plenty of time for the 30 minute drive here from Caernarfon. Even then, it was a further 10 minutes before our food was ready, so at 1935 we sat down on the Beach road to tuck in.Fish is good - very good. But small. Chips were okay - bit firm. Sadly, they messed up our order - no salt or vinegar on 2 of the adult portions, and a missing curry sauce. But when we opened the kids sausage and chips a real shock - a soggy carton filled with chips and mushy peas and gravy, and two small sausages. In contrast to the adults fish and chips, this meal portion was huge - far to big for a child. But why were the peas - which we didnt order - and the gravy we did, slopped onto the chips, when the other sauces were served up seperately? The end result was a mushy slop, my daughter ate the sausages and we threw the rest away. A real let down.In the end im left wondering how this place is rated so highly in the UK, when its not even the best Fish & chips on Anglesey.

Used to come here many years ago when we had a caravan nearby. Visited today as we were in the area. The food was fine, nothing amazing. The curry sauce was the best bit. The 'regular' fish were ridiculously small for the price. I am talking half the size you would expect. It was £27 for 2 fish, 2 chips (also a small portion for the price) 2 curry and a sausage. It's the first time I have eaten from a chippy and was still hungry afterwards!

My partner and I are in our 60s and have eaten many portions of fish and chips in our time. It is my partners favourite food. The fish and chips here are absolutely amazing and how they should be.We were on holiday here a few weeks ago and Even considered, for a minute, moving to the area so we could go there all the time it is so good.? we fitted in another visit before we left which was necessary as we needed to check they were as good as the first time. I can say that the battered sausage was the best battered sausage I have ever had together with the lightest crispiest batter on the fish.If you are living in the area or lucky enough to be on holiday there this is the place to go, for perfectly cooked fish and chips. The butter is gluten-free and this doesn’t bother us as we do not have an allergy but if you do you must think you have gone to heaven to find somewhere that can cater for gluten-free customers.

Really wanted some seaside fish and chips on our trip to Anglesey and Golden Fry was given as a recommendation in Benllech... Glad we opted for this choice as it really was superb! It's in a great spot right in the town and there are plenty of parking spots nearby. There were big queues outside and there was a bit of a wait but we took that as a good sign of a popular chippy! There was also plenty of choice of other food options so everyone was happy.Vegetarian options: Battered halloumi was lovely!Parking: Free parking at Tesco's next door and a paid carpark with plenty of spaces over the road.

Beautiful fish and chips. We came in 5 minutes before closing. But the staff where fantastic and accommodated to us. It was the last night of our holiday and was looking for something quite late and stumbled upon this gem. Had 1 Fish and chips, Scampi, chips and mushy costing £20 not bad for the area. They where absolutely delicious and worth the price. If we are ever that way again will definitely visit!

Best Fish and Chips in Benllech. Ordered online to get a timeslot easy to navigate menu. Tip- its cheaper if you order the meal box rather than separate items. Turn up at the premises at your allotted time and avoid the queues .

Pre booked on the website for a family group of 13, 8 adults and 5 children. We arrived at the given time slot through the ‘pick up door’ were asked our name, paid and were on our way within 5 minutes. We ordered a selection of fish and chips, sausage, curry sauce and mushy peas (which were a huge hit)! Delicious food, what a great chip shop! Reasonable prices, friendly staff, seamless online order and pick up.

First meal of our holiday, too tired to cook and the pubs looked busy so we plumped for takeaway and fish and chips.People were queuing out of the door,so we decided to run a few errands and then return. One problem is the lack of parking,so if you're lucky you might get a spot at Tesco's next door, luckily we were a 5 minute walk away. You can order online and collect or do a "walk up" and still order on the display screen at the shop entrance.Food took about 10 minutes to arrive. The portions were decent although the prices are a little high. The food was all cooked well and tasty, not too much oil and decent size portions. Can certainly see why this is deemed to be one of the better takeaways in Benllech and ahead of the other fish and chip competition

Lovely food. Highly recommended. Beware, long queues as is very popular. Can go online and order in advance
